I found your comment in Reddit and have loved all your videos. Even the tricks really helps, I'm new with SharePoint, this really helped thank you for your detailed tutorial!
Perfeito!!! Excelente conteúdos que você compartilhou ❤. Eu estava procurando a mais de 6 meses alguém para explicar e ensinar sobre isso! e você ensinou maravilhosamente neste vídeo. Great content - exactly I was looking for (as someone who is being asked to support a SPO KM). Thank you! (Still reviewing and you have a new SUBSCRIBER).
Thanks Greg. I wanted to keep ‘all’ but default to my new vertical. I tried to disable it and then recreate the ‘all’ manually (so it displayed after my new one) but struggled getting it to work the same as the default ‘All’. I’ve learnt so much great stuff from you over the years. It’s a real shame you can’t just reorder the verticals
Thank you for sharing such amazing content and knoweldge with us on your blog and videos!! I'm so grateful for the amount of knowledge I've gained over the years from you. Would you still recommend a single KB site if you want each department to be responsible for their own content? Having separate sites for each so everyone doesn't get full access the entire site and to edit other departments and you don't break the permission inheritance? Would the search experience still be ok if using a hub site to tie the different departments together?
Thanks, Kristen, for the feedback and for being my loyal follower all these years. The case for separate sites is search and permissions. This way, as you indicated, you do not need to set up lots of unique permissions. In addition, when you search, results are "cleaner".
Hi, excelent job! I am thinking about building such knowledge base but I'd like to create pages as a documents managed. Example: policies, procedures, instructions with metatags for managing expiration, owners, privacy, etc. But when I've started I've noticed that Web Part - Text is not sufficient - it is to simple to make page like document. Any advice?
Thank for this video.. question.. at 15:40 how did you get the text box to close to the sides? on my sharepoint, there is a much wider gap from my content to the side of the browser..
@@SharePointMaven right-clicking on the page only shows the usual menu shown by the web browser such as back, forrward, reload, save as, print, cast, etc. I am puzzled why the 3 dots are not appearing on the saved page templates.
Really liked the tutorial. However I miss the integration of this new wiki knowledge site into the communication site. If I add this link to my navigation bar of my communication site it opens the new site, instead of being integrated as a page on the communication site. How did you manage to do that?
Isn't SharePoint wiki dead now? I'm really confused. Could you help me understand the difference between this knowledge base and SharePoint wiki? Thank you in advance.

I also learned the existence of the group "Everyone". This is great.
Yes, it is quite handy sometimes :) Thank you.
Great tutoirial. I learned the sub-link feature in the left-hand side vertical menu. I am a happy viewer.
Happy to hear! Appreciate the comment and am glad you found it helpful!

My pleasure and thanks for the kind comments. Welcome to my Channel!
Great tutorial.👏 Helped me a lot while I build our company's knowledge base.
Happy to hear - appreciate the feedback!
Great video as usual. For the search verticals is there any way to get the search results to default to the new vertical rather than all?
Thank you. I believe you can just hide "All" and the custom one will become the default? Never tried this though.

SharePoint Pages are limited in terms of layout options and do not have same editing capabilities as in Word.

My pleasure. I did not do anything special - SharePoint pages are responsive, so this has to do with size of display you have.
awesome!
Thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial. What happens if i cannot see the three dots to make a site page as the default page template? What might have gone wrong?
You should always be able to click on 3 dots... try right-clicking on the page.

Not possible to integrate this into another site. It will need to be a separate link
Whats the reason(s) to use pages rather than Word docs in a doc library?
There are many reasons, pages are linkable, etc.

No, it is not

Enterprise Wiki is a legacy feature not supported with Modern SharePoint
why do you use the template page? Can't use the news post template?
