Yes, I'm glad you said some. this woman is amazing but I do rescue too and I am So angry at the people who abandon their cats. If any of you are reading this ( and I expect you're not) for the love of God, at least get your cat neutered before you abandon them.
I know this woman's feeling. My Uncle had an incredibly spicy cat who didn't like anybody named Bramble. I would come across her in her cat bed, and talk to her, and hold my finger out to her. She would sniff it, then hiss, and I would just say, "Okay, see you later", and walk away. Each time I saw her, she would let me get closer to her, and eventually let me touch her. I'd start scratching her ear, and eventually she would hiss when she wanted me to stop, and again, I'd say "Okay, see you later", and leave her alone. But each visit, she let me scratch her longer, and eventually, she would stop hissing, and just move her head away when she wanted me to stop. It all built to one day I was sitting on my Uncle's couch, and Bramble walked up to me. I smiled, and said "Hello", and she jumped up on the couch, and walked right onto my lap, and sat down. She was even purring. It felt like such a victory after about two years of our little visits. I even called my Aunt and Uncle in to see it, and they were amazed to see her sitting on my lap and letting me pet her. Proud moment of my youth, and miss that girl.

I'm constantly amazed by people like Amber who sacrifice a little piece of their heart every time they adopt out a foster they've dedicated themselves to. It would totally break me, but the work she does is so obviously essential and appreciated.
I just rescued 3 cats from a motel garage in North Wisconsin. A mama orange tabby, and her 2 kittens, a black tabby and an identical twin to mama. I semi adopted them myself for the first 2 months of the kitties lives so I got them very used to humans and they are all very loving. So my family adopted cats 4 years ago and they were both found in a truck stop. We had them for about a week at this point and Hercules would only come out at night. Well he was playing with a toy and I went into the living room and laid down right in the middle just watching him and no subtle movements. He walked up booped my nose with his, stood on top of my head and then fell asleep on my back. I was the first to have any form of interaction like that with him. It was amazing.

This lovely story truly made my day! The tenacity of this woman to help a petrified little kitty is beyond amazing. My 14 year old kitty Bubsey girl found me when she was 2 years old living on the street. I believe she belonged to a man who abused her and didn't want her anymore and threw her out on the street. She got in with a ferrel community the day I moved into my new place she found me and ran over to me and plopped down on her back and showed me her belly. It took me approximately 9 months to make my kitty a full in door house cat. I couldn't imagine my life without her. Bubsey girl will be 15 years old in June 23. 💓
What a beautiful human being you are to be so determined, wise and loving. Spicey found you. Cats choose the humans, remember. On some level he knew you'd totally be there for him. Bless you both ❤️🙏🐱
What a beautiful little soul! So grateful you take the time to help these little fur balls find their way to love and safety. Not to be afraid of him or angry at him for lashing out due to his fear is a wonderful thing. Love his story.
Reminds me of the slightly older cat I adopted from a rescue shelter. She looked fully grown already. Probably around 10~12 months old at the time. When I took her to my place she hid for the first 2 days. Then she finally went to the food bowl I had for her and ate something while I was asleep, or at least when I wasn't in my kitchen. It took a full week before I even saw her at all, really. It took almost a month before she trusted me enough to be in the same room. And finally, after a full 4 months, I was able to pet her for the very first time. I was cooking dinner and she sat behind me on the floor. So I decided to just try it. I slowly leaned back and down, making sure she could see what I was doing. And for the very first time I could pet her. It literally brought me to tears. I cried while trying to keep my composure as I gently pet her. Such a wonderful moment for her to finally trust me enough to touch her. After that things slowly got better. She never became a lap cat. But she'd allow me to pet her more and more. And after like 6 months she actually slept in my bed as I was sleeping as well. Only at the end, where my feet were. But still, she slept in the same bed as me. Sometimes she'd even relax on the chair beside me. (My desk had 2 chairs back then) Sadly after about 1.5 years she got hit by a car and didn't make it... (yes I let my cats outside. It's my belief that cats are "outdoor animals" and shouldn't be locked up inside all the time.) I wish I could have spent more time with her. I will admit that after that I got a new cat (or kitten) as soon as I could. I couldn't bear the thought of my house being empty apart from just me again. This kitten was also at an animal shelter. In the quarantine ward no less. She was still so small. Maybe 5 weeks at most? But as soon as I opened her cage she wanted pets and cuddles. She just wanted to be out of that cage and be loved. So I took her. I figured a new environment would be scary so I started her off in my bedroom on my bed. Just opening the cage to see what she'd do. She instantly started exploring the apartment. No fear at all. Not of me or the new environment. And now, 7 years later, that same "kitten" is still with me. My cute (and often demanding) little black cat. I love her to bits, and give her a treat outside of her normal food almost every single day. Not to mention petting her every day and going out of my way to go downstairs to let her out whenever she wants to. (I moved from an apartment to a small house while I had her.) When she eventually dies (curse you cat years vs human years!) I will definitely go to a shelter again. Those cats deserve just as much love as any other. And at that time, I think I'll go for an older cat again, not a kitten. Older cats deserve a loving and comfortable home as well. I went for a kitten this time around because I felt I couldn't handle another "months of no contact and distrust" a second time, but for my next cat I want to provide an older cat with a loving home again.
Gaining the trust of an animal is such a powerful experience. It's like breaking a language barrier. That was one scared cat who was in full on self protect mode. Well done!
It's his little grumbles as he eats that get me lol. I'm glad he was given space to adapt and now he can live the rest of his spicy life with his new human.
What a beautiful doll. Poor thing all it's known is fending off to survive. It needs so much love to trust. Thank you for sparing and sharing, glad it has a loving family to share it's life.
Spicy and so beautiful! That color, wow! My mom had a silver grey beauty and she could be spicy, too. Loved her so much. I'm so happy he found his home. Good job!💙
Our kitty wasn't even close to this kind of aggression, but you are so right about the feeling you get when you earn the trust of that little beauty. Forming a true bond with anything that can love you back is a thing of beauty.
I had a feral cat took at least a year to get them to come in the house and eat . He Would eat outside my door but wouldn’t come in another six months to come in and eat if I close the door he went crazy but after all Problems, he was a great cat and lived a long time with me I miss him still
Spicy kitty is such an accurate word! Feisty little guy! But wow this story pulled at my heart strings! Im glad she did not give up on him and got him to trust her and know the meaning of love and nurture
Every time this pops up I have to watch and get emotional all over again. To win over a feral cat at any age is such a pure emotion of joy & love it feels as though your heart will burst!
I love the spicy kittens. I've rescued a few and they all became love muffins eventually. She got him at just the right age. Longest it took me to rehab an adult spicy cat was a year. My gray kitty was my favourite, she recently passed from an undiagnosed heart condition. Best cat ever
I'm so sorry for your lost! I have a grey kitty of my own who was dumped on my school campus during the pandemic, and after overcoming her fear she's such a cuddle bug.
Every little breakthrough and her covering her mouth. I feel that. We foster and re-home and I bawl like a baby every time they leave but having those tough cases where they are scared and angry at 1st. Those are the most rewarding. To watch them turn into sweet and cuddly is the best feeling ever. The growling while eating kills me.
I took on a kitten like this, probably worse! It took so long to tame him. He bit me and his tooth went through my finger nail when I first got him home. I made lots of mistakes, it probably took much longer, but he eventually came to trust me. It was last Christmas day that he jumped on my lap when I was watching TV. I felt so privileged, he finally accepted me. Now we're best buddies.
I love his little growls as he ate. So adorable. What a nice thing you did. I too rescue cats, but I keep them. I have a hard time giving them away. I have 10.
This was too sweet! The kitten is so so beautiful, and he was so wild! She did amazing job to tame him and to turn him into loving, cuddly kitty....It was funny as well...a real pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing! xoxoxo
Your patience was amazing. Few people would invest such time consuming efforts to for lack of experience raise a stray or abandoned animal. Beautiful story.
I found a same colored cat outside my door one day! I adopted him after him returning to my home a few times. Greyson turned out to be the sweetest and nicest cat!
Wow!!! This woman is such a blessing, her commitment with helping this little one is amazing. Here in Hawaii the number of abandoned cats and baby kittens living on the streets is pretty sad. Wish there was more of you in the world.

Thank you for rescuing Little Burrito. You did a great job with much patience and love. What a beautiful baby!
i perfer to call him/her murder mittens
What a beautiful human being you are to be so determined, wise and loving. Spicey found you. Cats choose the humans, remember. On some level he knew you'd totally be there for him. Bless you both ❤️🙏🐱
Church is beyond cute, he has human eyes! So adorable! I hope he has his own Instagram account! Thanks for rescuing him! 🙏❤️
The work people like you do is so incredible. It must take so much patience. Your kindness made me smile today. ❤

Thank you for consistent caring and gentleness while dealing with Church. You have changed a life for the better.
This has to be one of my all-time favorite dodo stories. 😻😻😻
Thank you so much to the wonderful rescuer!!! Thank you for your patience and kindness! Need more lovely humans like you!!!
The sight of Church coming to like his rescuer made me cry! So precious! 😭
(My desk had 2 chairs back then)
Sadly after about 1.5 years she got hit by a car and didn't make it...
(I moved from an apartment to a small house while I had her.)
When she eventually dies (curse you cat years vs human years!) I will definitely go to a shelter again.
Well done!
Hello Shane how are you doing today
Yes full on survival mode
The worst bite I have ever gotten was from a tiny kitten. I'm so happy you were able to save him and gain his trust.
Shouldn’t she get the rabies shot as precaution?
Those needle teeth are no joke. My little lady used to wrestle my hand before I trained her and it was SO painful.
Isn’t the best when a kitty finally trusts you. You are amazing Amber.
What a spicy bug with "murder mittens", hahaha. Wonderful story of how love can change the world. Thank you kitty rescuer.
Cat caring hero! who didn't give up on this little one! wow...Beautiful cat, beautiful person.
It IS an incredible feeling to have a cat begin to trust u!
It's like a gold medal for your Soul!
We had a gray cat named Church. He was the sweetest. RIP Church, your kitten twin is living the life for you.
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear sweet Church 😭😿💔
Cass you're beautiful, inside and out! Great patience and a sense of humor wins.
He Would eat outside my door but wouldn’t come in another six months to come in and eat if I close the door he went crazy but after all Problems, he was a great cat and lived a long time with me I miss him still
Rescuers are Angels 👼🏽
Spicy kitty is such an accurate word! Feisty little guy! But wow this story pulled at my heart strings! Im glad she did not give up on him and got him to trust her and know the meaning of love and nurture
Every time this pops up I have to watch and get emotional all over again.
To win over a feral cat at any age is such a pure emotion of joy & love it feels as though your heart will burst!
Thank you for sharing this..that precious kitten is blessed that he has you..Bless your heart....
Hello Cecillia how are you doing today
Facts
I love the spicy kittens. I've rescued a few and they all became love muffins eventually. She got him at just the right age. Longest it took me to rehab an adult spicy cat was a year. My gray kitty was my favourite, she recently passed from an undiagnosed heart condition. Best cat ever
I'm so sorry for your lost! I have a grey kitty of my own who was dumped on my school campus during the pandemic, and after overcoming her fear she's such a cuddle bug.
@@wolfegirl1013 all cats are beautiful but gray cats are just my favourite. I bet yours is adorable!
Such a beautiful cat with expressive eyes !
These creatures bring us such pleasure!
0:34 Oh that face! Socialising a feral kitten or cat is the most rewarding thing. 💖
Thank you for saving this kitten. Church is adorable.
Such a beautiful person we need more people like her in this world.
Amber is such a sweetheart omg the way she apologized when she exhaled and scared the little wild child made my heart grow three sizes
The moment you make that connection is pure magic
I love his little growls as he ate. So adorable. What a nice thing you did. I too rescue cats, but I keep them. I have a hard time giving them away. I have 10.
Hello Tatianna how are you doing today
Oh dear 😅
@Jesse West Hello Jesse how are you doing today
This was too sweet! The kitten is so so beautiful, and he was so wild! She did amazing job to tame him and to turn him into loving, cuddly kitty....It was funny as well...a real pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing! xoxoxo
Your patience was amazing. Few people would invest such time consuming efforts to for lack of experience raise a stray or abandoned animal. Beautiful story.
He’s so beautiful. God bless you for rescuing him. Sometimes the baby steps are the most rewarding.
I found a same colored cat outside my door one day! I adopted him after him returning to my home a few times. Greyson turned out to be the sweetest and nicest cat!
The world thanks you for your service!
Yes, thank you.
Wow!!! This woman is such a blessing, her commitment with helping this little one is amazing. Here in Hawaii the number of abandoned cats and baby kittens living on the streets is pretty sad. Wish there was more of you in the world.
