      He can sing and do impressions well. If he chose to focus on either one of those or both instead of “dice” character he would have had a longer, more steady career. He chose the proverbial lump sum.

      Yeah, Dice is more humble these days. Since this interview he's gone through two divorces, had financial problems, health issues and dealt with the uncertainty of a derailed career. That would humble anybody. Luckily he's been able to bounce back career-wise over the past few years and seems to be more at peace with himself and the world around him.

    The Dice Man killed in this interview. If only Conan was talented enough back then to really hang with him and feed off those setups. Conan looked nervous and like an amateur here. I know Conan now would of been a lot funnier. Dice is so talented. The man can act, improvise, sing, do comedy, do impressions, is witty, etc.. Very rare to see someone like that IMO who can do it all, and do it so well.

      Also, as several others have stated; Andrew Dice Clay is laying it on thick enough so you can see the humour of it all. He knows exactly what kind of person he's portraying in his speech and mannerisms. And it's funny because of exactly just that

    Years later Conan learned how to roll with things and not be such a dud. He also learned that people had acts and were doing them. Then he began laughing uncontrollably at everything everyone said to overcompensate for performances like this one.
