That's what I like about this show, real working class people, I haven't watched tv now for over 10 years and no longer pay a TV licence. Happy with retro tv here on YT cheers
That team on the right were lucky that by then that they didn't get eliminated after the first round like the old days. They wouldn't have gone home with one penny.
@@jameshaywood878 Yes they lost their money, but I was meaning they would have earned no money to risk in the star prize gamble had they had to come back at the end as well as going home with in the old days. Incredibly they finished seconds considering how badly they did in the category board round. There actually was a couple in the series before this one who won no money in both the category board round and the pounds for points round, they only won a bottle of champagne. I wonder if they would have been forced to gamble the bottle of champagne if the other 2 couples decided not to gamble for the star prize.
@@dvidclappertonI’ve seen that episode and I was wondering the same thing. Bruce Forsyth also used to give cases of champagne out of his own personal pocket to contestants on his gameshows too. Mainly to any finalist who lost
@@gftyhify Also in an earlier series of Bullseye, on Bully's Prize Board, they had Bully's Game as an extra prize even if they didn't win any prizes proper. I was wondering if they kept the Bully's Game or lost it by gambling their prizes but failed to make 101 in 6 darts.

I love how they always gave money to charity on these old game shows.
still trying to offload that crochet set to this day lol
Books Question: "Miss Marples"? They'd never get away with that today!
True but they had a lot of local accents on this quiz game to contend with.
The same thing occured to me.
@@carolineg1872 Putting an incorrect 'S' on the end of 'Marple' has nothing to do with accent.
Classic TV...much missed.

They still went home with nothing
