- There are a number of misconceptions about structural equation modelling. These misconceptions and questions often confuse the scholars when using SEM tools. Following are the common questions?
Shall I put in all my variables for analysis?
Shall I perform my mediation analysis separately?
Shall I perform my moderation analysis separately?
Do I add moderators in the measurement model?
Will the Moderating effect be included in the Measurement Model?
Do I report the relationship of the moderator with the endogenous variable?
Shall I remove insignificant results?

Thank you, Dr. Latif. Very helpful videos. Jazakalaahu khair.
My pleasure
Insightful answers.
Pleasure. I am glad you liked it.

Thank you sir

what is the difference between standardized results and unstandardized results in SMartPLS4. Also when running PLS Algorithm, there is the options of factors and paths, what is the difference? when should I select path or factors?
Please use Standardized Results, as for Path and Factor, use Path for better R-Sq values.
hello Sir, I want to Ask you if have three IVs, DV and one Mediated. can i do one time? or separate mediation analysis like the CC to OP through Mediation variable. thanks a lot.
Hi. Perform the mediation all at once.
Sir, I have a question regarding binary variables. Is it possible to use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS to predict a latent factor that affects a binary variable, such as a binary variable indicating customer satisfaction (satisfied or unsatisfied)?
Binary outomce requires Binary Logistic Regression. You will be able to run the model, but i have to see it provides the odds ratio and other relevant results as in Binary Logistic Regression. You can run and check.
Thank you so much, Sir. I think I will run Binary Logistic Regression in SPSS and compare it with the results of AMOS.
Can we do SEM with a mix of dependent or independent variable being continuous measurable ones while others being latent?
Yes, we can. The provision is available in CB-SEM tools like AMOS.
Hello Sir.
Can you please help with a tutorial on how we can perform comparison of alternative structural models? Please provide some tutorial/guide for this. Thank You so much Sir
Hopefully soon.
Thank You so much, Sir. It will be really helpful then. I am sure it will benefit so many people as many are just addicted to the way you teach. Thanks a lot, Sir!
Sir, in a moderared mediation model (in SEM), can we study the effect of control variables on both the mediator and dependent variables simultaneously? Thank You Sir
Yes we can.
Thank You, Sir. Sorry for the typo in the peevious question- moderated mediation
if my moderator is just a variable like age , wlll there be need to include it in the measurement model since it is not a construct?
Do not include Age or other demographic variables in MM.
Will you create video tutorials on MPlus?
No. reason being it is costly. I am planning a series on Lavaan package in R that can be used for multi-level modelling.
in shaa allah, Lavaan is the next series after the current SmartPLS4 series.
