    Am I the only one thinking how the hell did he do that without wedges? How did that not pinch his saw?

      He had the trigger in the back and the hinge in the front intact. Those supported the tree until he cut the trigger and the tree fell. It had its weight leaning in the right direction too.

    How terrible to see such a monumental poplar tree felled. What a disaster for the health of the area and local habitat as well.

      It’s called Forrest regeneration. Deer, rabbits, squirrel, birds etc will eat off the browse of the stump for years

      Not really, poplar grows very fast, that tree is very likely not over 50 years old and it's probably a plantation forest.
