Electrically conductive glue (epoxy, silver) works good where you do not risc short circuits, like battery terminals. A bit expensive, at least mine was, but lasts a long time.
It is not shown which two points must be used by the replacement switch(motorside or charge terminal side). I have that problem too and have to replace the relais too. After removing the old switch I saw the indication under the relay which says C- NO - NC. So between C- NO
