I have that rock and I would do a two-step process of using water to float the debris away using a large garbage can full of water and then you can find a way to wash the dirt off(screens, bucket with holes). I found a cheap bulk source and bought it by the pickup load.
P.S. Another thing about low maintenance is picking plants that don't drop so much material.

Steve the rocks in your flower bed are easy to remove and reuse just use your sifter that you used at at the farm field garbage pits. I bought a house and they had put white rocks around the front and one side of the house but it was before the days of the landscaping cloth so the grass just grew in and made a mess so for a few months I sifted the rocks out and made the grass mowing much easier. My wife made a rock garden with the landscaping cloth but after about fifteen years the weeds would just grow in the dirt on top of the cloth and the roots would make holes in the cloth, that is the only problem I have found with it.
