After watching countless numbers of videos and searching for a good starting point for my p1 s pro without good results, I found your review.. plugged in your suggested settings and was actually able to make a cut. Thank you so much.
This was Great ! I was able to see the video before I made my purchase. As technology challenged as I am, it sounds like I’ll need a Wi-Fi receiver and computer interface. I’ll need more videos on that set-up for sure 🤣😎🤙
I don't use the wifi on most of these. You do need a computer to take full advantage of the laser using software like LaserGRBL or Lightburn. The mobile apps are okay but are limiting in what you can design and do. Thanks for watching!
Hey brother, Great video and it helped me affirm the purchase. I just started some interest into this hobby. I will be looking for more tutorials on the rest. I need to set up the App and Wi-Fi stuff…..yup I said stuff🤪. But I really want to get into this, so I’m up to the tech challenged tendencies I have.😎🤙
Great video! I just ordered this Laser for Cheep! and I wanted to see if it was OK, or crap So I can cancel the order. after your review, I think I will keep I. Will Keep It. Question, will this work with LightBurn Software?
Thank you for the very useful video. But 6w is optical power right? I am very confused when see many manufacturers advertising 20 40 80w but the price is cheap. Does cutting 300gsm paper cause burned edges? and what speed do you think is appropriate?
6w is the optical output of the laser. Sadly some will mention the input wattage from the power supply but that is not a good indicator of the output power of the laser. I have played with some card stock in the past and you will have some slight charring on the very edges. I don't have a recommendation on speeds as it's been a while since I was testing paper for cutting.
If you want raw cutting power the 70w will help. I've not been able to test one yet so I can't speak to how well they perform or how much detail they might loose with the higher wattage beam. If you are wanting high quality engravings, it's hard to beat a smaller unit like these with a single diode emitter creating a very small focus point.

It is a good inexpensive laser and yes it will work with Lightburn. That is all I used for my tests with it. Thanks for checking out the video!
great video........where do you get the scratch acrylic from?
Hey, looks like I forgot that link. I'll add it to the description but here it is! greatcarve.com/pages/scratch-acrylic
thank you

I see Ilkone or someone like them is offering a 70w. Is it too much for most uses?
If you want raw cutting power the 70w will help. I've not been able to test one yet so I can't speak to how well they perform or how much detail they might loose with the higher wattage beam. Will this cut leather?
Perhaps the thin laser ready synthetic leather but it would likely struggles with regular leather. Even the 10w with air can take a few passes.
@@Vintaurithank you so much for the help. Happy Holidays.
Take advantage of the 3.28 price reduction promotion to buy it, the price you get is: $188.
That's a nice deal on a great laser for engraving!
