My girlfriend and I have been together for 4 years and in that time I’ve been trying to get her into metal to no avail, that is until I played her AVATAR. She’s a huge fan of you guys now and we both love everything about you guys. You’ve brought us even closer and for that, I can’t thank you enough.
Just thank you. Thank you for being. Thank you for wanting to be a part of our lives. It seems easy, but I think it's not easy to go out on stage every time and give it all to the fans. It's a big responsibility to get on stage and do the job well done. And not only do you do that but you manage to touch each of our fibers and make us vibrate with you. There's only one name for that: magic. Avatar is magic, it's life: raw and fascinating at the same time. Avatar is Johannes, Jonas, John, Henrik and Tim, but it's also you and me and them and all of us who heartily connect with these wonderful beings. Long live Avatar, long live the king, long live metal. Thank you, always.
I love the passion that every part of this band puts on the music, when I hear it I truly feel that. I live in a country where everyday is so insecure that you don't know if you'll be able to live tomorrow, maybe it's because of my situation (my dad, uncle and cousin got assassinated recently) but this passion made me feel more secure and somehow stronger; I understood that I wasn't so fragile and that a human being can ressisst a lot, even though everyone has its own problems it's ok to feel emotions and let them be, so even though I'm 17 and I'm also a female who can't really defend herself from this shit that it's happening I'm ok now and I'm also sure that it's not the end for me yet, I want to live freely and passionate with whatever I decide to do on my future, just as you guys, because this passion made me the person I am today Thank you so much Avatar See you soon, yours truly -Just a fan.

Avatar has done more to put the heart and soul back into heavy metal than nearly any other new band of this young century. Their music not only makes you feel what heavy metal is supposed to make you feel, that catharsis, that release: It makes you feel ALIVE. It possesses an energy, a youthfulness, a JOY that feels savage and primal, yet lighthearted and optimistic at the same time, and that is something heavy metal hasn't possessed in decades. That hope. That crazy, chaotic optimism and unifying viewpoint that brings so many of us fans together as not just Avatar fans, but individuals who might become friends because of Avatar. I could not get that when I listened to, for instance, Slipknot. I didn't feel what Avatar makes me feel when I went to their concerts. It was a release, to be sure, but it wasn't positive. It wasn't uplifting. It was, to be honest, like getting drunk to forget something made you feel bad - when the music was over, or I left the concert, all that negativity was just right back where it had always been. The 'high' wore off. Avatar doesn't leave me feeling hollow after it's over. It fills that little void inside, makes you smile and want to sing along every time you hear their song(s)...TOO LONG DIDN'T READ VERSION: Avatar has fucking SOUL, and it's about damn time we had a band like them.
Fuck, you have said everything I think about this band, not only has it brought me out of my low emotional activation, it has made me discover the great world of Metal, very grateful to this band and I will wait till the end of the world just to see them live.
Avatar gave me a sense of security and comfort and it made me feel safe being myself. It made me feel welcome and accepted and discovering them is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. A little over a year & a half after this was posted... only 2 1/2 weeks since discovering Avatar... and I am blown away once more. I have binged countless videos and interviews, shared comments with fans and even brought a couple of new fans, kicking, screaming, and w/ horns in the air, along for the journey with me. You are a unique and amazing band. My main 'outlet' throughout a great portion of my life was writing. One day, after suffering one loss too many, it vanished. Life continued to get harder... darker. Last year I lost my last family member, my mom. (I'd lost everyone else - family, friends. countless beloved pets & rescues.. a love - before I was 32). Facing even more stressful times & worsening health, I didn't believe any thing could help me at this point, and that no one would. That's when I 'found' Avatar. I heard 2 words, released by a scream, and was hooked... bloody angel. Within 1 week of this obsession, in the middle of the night, I tried, yet again, to turn an idea & emotion into something tangible... and did. I wrote a poem for the 1st time in far too long. It was dark, and honest. -- If it is still true that Avatar (or even Johannes specifically) cannot wrap your head around the fact your music touches others, let me remind you... it does. And I, for one, thank you.
I discovered you and your music thanks to my boyfriend three years ago. Until my first concert a week ago, I listened to you a lot, some of your songs awakening in me a whole new feeling, a whole new me. But since I saw you live it has become even stronger. Of course I had to deal with a big anxiety attack before your arrival on stage but as soon as Dance Devil dance was heard, my anguish flew away with tears. And when the concert was over, I was so happy, proud of myself for having done it, as if nothing around me existed anymore while my life is dictated by the way the others look at me, what they think about me, the fear of being judged. I wish I could tell you personally how much your music saves me every day, when those days are darker because your brain doesn't want to leave you in peace and your anxieties multiply like a monster that is always coming back stronger. That the only thing that could relieve you before was strong medication and that you had no hope of recovery. Three years ago I would have been unable to face the outside world, the crowds, to go at a concert. But with your music I realize that I am not afraid of the outside world or of life. Just that I love it too much and I'm afraid that something bad will happen to me. So I protect myself, but if I protect myself so much that I don't live. I've been in therapy for years, diagnosed with this mental disorder since I was 15 (I'm 32), and it's clear that music, your music, and your way of being with your fans, your citizens, helps me a lot. Your mentality is so pure, so beautiful. I am writing these words with small tears, happy tears, because it is so important to me that you know what you bring to me. What you bring to all of us. You are one of the two bands able to bring me so much happiness just by your music, so imagine your concerts, sometimes I even imagine myself being able to meet you and be able to talk to you and thank you, sometimes I dream of a moment when I manage to get a guitar pick at the next concert, but above all, all of this, your music, your way of being, your energy, gives me a lot of hope. Thank you Avatar, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can't find the word to thank you enough. I love you guys. So much.
Your music affects me every time I hear it. Feathers and Flesh taught me to not take anything for granted. Hail the Apocalypse taught me to ask questions. Avatar Country emphasized the absurdity of politics. Black Waltz taught me what torture feels/sounds like. Thoughts of No Tomorrow taught me how to deal with depression. Schlact taught me how to win mental battles. Your self titled album taught me how to reinvent myself, when needed. You guys are the greatest fucking band I've ever heard. With the most original sound and lyrics. With the most original image. I cannot wait to meet you guys in Las Vegas on June 15th.

Thank you for what you do. It may just be playing your songs, but each one is a tiny vacation from the rest of my life, or the soundtrack to the movie I'm living. It's a point of connection with other fans and a tiny bit of emotion that we get to collectively experience, whether all at once or for the first time years apart. Everything Avatar does is created or performed with real passion and dedication. One day, somehow, I WILL see them live. Until then, I say "Thank You, Avatar" - for everything.
What does your music mean to us? I can’t speak for everyone, but for me your music gives me hope. I’ve battled with depression my entire adult life. I’ve endured my rage and my suffering for a long time, but your music reminds me that I don’t have it so bad. No matter how furious I become, or how depressed I feel on any given day, listening to your music brings me zen. I can always count on you guys to brighten my day when all else fails. You guys have spirit and passion for what you do, and it inspires me. I may never be a talented musician or become successful enough for my liking in any field of interest, but Avatar helps me push through.
nearly teared up. avatar has always been so personal to me. from hearing the hail the apocalypse record with my dear friend and sharing that love and seeing it being felt in other parts of the world is so pleasant. thank you avatar, i am a proud citizen, kickstarter backer, avatard, etc., and as always, a fan.
This makes me miss my band haha. Good times. I wish we would've stuck together and just tried a little harder to make it work out. But we all went our separate ways after we graduated. Not to say that I'm not proud of where I am today. I'm 22 and enlisted active duty. I have alot of great friends that I made down this road and wouldn't trade a moment of my time spent with them for the world. I still go to as many concerts as I can and I am so happy that I stumbled upon Avatar when I saw them live at Carolina rebellion in 2018. They opened up with the king on a throne blasting a statue of the king. There could not have been a better introduction to a band. I've seen them three times since and hope to see them many more times! Avatar, You rock the casbah!!
Been with you since 2012 in Copenhagen, with 5 finger death punch - and A7X - when you came in as David Drayman's wife had to give birth. I will be with you. Always.

And this is why you guys will always be my favorite band. You actually care about staying true to metal, writing powerful songs and performing like there's no tomorrow. I have met more than 1 persont hat have seen you live and became fans just from your performances alone. Keep rocking it
Thank you for thinking of us. Your songs have indeed touched me in ways I've never felt, from hail the apocalypse, regret & house of eternal hunt, fiddler's farewell and many more, so many different feelings have arose from you music. Thank you so much. I love you guys.
Alright, you did it, now I'm crying. This may be dumb, but whenever I wear my Avatar shirt, I feel like I am brave enough for anything. Thank you guys for making awesome music.
I’m not crying you’re crying. Words can’t describe how much I love and appreciate everything this amazing and talented band does. I just can’t, this is crazy. It’s not only music. You’re sure the best band ever. Best for me. Thanks for being inspiration for me in my life, thanks for everything. I’m just very thankful.
When I saw you at graspop 2018, first row, I swear it was one of the best moments of my whole life.. You're really changing people's lives and that's what makes you so amazing.. when I saw you on stage, y'all looked very close to your public and it seems like you really care for them. Please never change that, I miss seeing you.
Thank you for such a beautiful message. No words can describe it, no feeling can grasp it. When i listen to your music i know i have brothers and sisters out there even when i feel alone. until you guys play your last note, nay, even after. I and all of your fans will be here. 🤘
Even if your message doesn’t get through to people lyrically your performances are amazing enough to show people that anything is possible as long as you work hard and believe in what you’re doing

I LOVE AVATAR
nearly teared up. avatar has always been so personal to me. from hearing the hail the apocalypse record with my dear friend and sharing that love and seeing it being felt in other parts of the world is so pleasant. thank you avatar, i am a proud citizen, kickstarter backer, avatard, etc., and as always, a fan.
Touched my heart, man... I'll keep my horns up in the air for you! Love you guys!
Always.
Watched them 3 times. Loved them. Hope they always come to Washington state! I got noticed for wearing my Pharaoh Costume by him and Howard Jones
Thank YOU Avatar for the amazing music you create! Looking forward to see you live!
