that is why you will never play it. If only you comprehended yourself playing masterfully, instead of comprehending that which puts you down. By now youd have mastered it.

I don't like the orchestration of Chopin's piano concertos but they worth to listen because the concertos have the most beautiful melodies written by Chopin. Especially, this one. I'm in love with larghetto...
Indeed. Chopin was a pianist through-and-through. His “orchestration” is perfect for the piano, but falls apart on any other instrument. The orchestra simply wasn’t for him. Imagine if Tchaikovsky or Mahler reorchestrated this piece. Then it would be perfect…
Yes, although it's actually an early nocturne (written around the same time as this concerto). It was published posthumously, hence the high opus number.
@@matthewroman7429 i don't like arbitrary text changes. for example, from the very beginning, bar 10: why this glissando by the first violins? some idiotic rallentando, fermates and changes of tempo (i.g. bars 31-40) etc. i do not like such disrespect for the author.
When I first heard the Larghetto, I had no idea that Chopin wrote something other than music for solo piano.
Haha

I can't comprehend that there are humans that can play this...
Let alone that there was someone who composed this from nothing but his own imagination
@@bibobabu8756 thats even crazier it sounds incredible
@@bibobabu8756 That's the difference to today's piano virtuosos like Lang Lang. They don't come even close to Chopin

Disagree. It's not as bad as bad schumann symphonies with perpetual doubling. It's not a virtuoso score, but it can be played very finely.
Chopin took some part of this concerto for his last nocturne !

I’m starting this piece right tf now
Mr. Zimerman's phrasing is on point.

Great
Love Zimmerman’s playing. Not a fan of some of the extreme tempo shifts in the final movement, though

Ok, glad to know.
Why not?
It sounds so pretty to me.

@@tomski_w That makes sense. Good judgment there.
Doesn't sound very good...
Maybe listen to it a few more times. Imagine it as a movie and really think of the music. Make a scene with your mind.
@JAV2728 the more I listen the more I'm bothered by the parallel fifths
