Crazy how shes been around for two different generations of RnB and Pop. I miss her First Love era stuff. I grew up on that record when my sisters had a burned mix cd of her stuff. I loved her Japanese fused English lyrics, she was so smooth with those transitions. I went crazy when as a child, she did the theme song for Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I couldn't get enough of her. This track brings me joy.

Wow. "T" has been playing on repeat on my speaker. I absolutely love this song. There are some unique details I picked up. Hikaru's 1st verse and chorus are sung in a higher pitch hitting the chorus and "T" into a falsetto along with the guitar, strings, and synth chime complimenting their voice. After Warren's verse, Hikaru then sings the rest of the song into a lower pitch with their sultry tone and guitar also strumming in the same tone. That's so cool how the vibe changes subtly to show Hikaru's versatile vocal range. ☺️

Like you said, Utada Is a legend and her current label respects her and gives her complete control over what she puts out and WHEN she puts it out. Not a corporate americanized sexualized product like most of the rest of those kids were. She's better than that. That's why she was able to take an almost 10 hear hiatus to go live her life instead of run into the ground like an ayumi hamasaki by Avex Trax.
Her part wasn't well-received by some people during the live chat, and it wasn't her best performance (you can rewatch the vid on Coachella 1 vid). Her voice was suffering in the beginning, maybe tech issues w the headphones? I don't think she should've included "first love" bc it was so out of place for Coachella.
