I have to disagree with the statement that you should steam first then pull espresso shot after on Victoria. I had Lelit Kate and now MaraX and after your shot is done, heating up that 300ml boiler is very fast. Espresso shot will “live” longer than steamed milk because microform separates quicker than the espresso.
Fully agree. Occasionaly might reverse, only if I decide to make a second shot while already steaming for the first. But still, foam needs more extra steering to well mix it after some time.
@@majstordaki huge upgrade. Dual boiler like Bianca/Mini/GS3 is not needed. Since at home you never Nunes to steam while pulling the shot. Marax heat up time is 20-24’ and not an issue since I have breakfast at that time before my cappuccino. You just need to learn how to lube e61 brewing mechanism and descaling (which are easy).
As a former barista I am now running the bianca as my daily driver and I am saying that even though it's not as good as machines in cafés, it is still almost as good as it gets in the home coffee world, the only thing that I could think of moving on from this for is a la marzocco.
Got the Mara X in December as an upgrade to my Breville Infuser. I absolutely love it. So much fun to use and my coffee is so much more consistent. Steam pressure is great.
@@erindi23 hello! I am very happy with my Anna. Enjoying my coffee everyday lol. I feel like it doesn’t have the steam power or maybe i just suck at steaming and texturing my milk lol 😂 I make 6-10 coffee a day. 3 in the morning back to back. Few cups in the afternoon and the evening.
I've had a Mara x for 3 years, it was my first machine and i found it pretty simple to use out of the box. The only problem I've had is steam pressure can be a little inconsistent but not bad enough for me to do anything about it. Makes great coffee and fits in the small space I had available perfectly.
@@kenyattebaylor1597 I did a bit more research and can concluded that all E61 machines have the steam wand on the left. I've also notice that the majority (but not all) Non-E61 machines have the wand on the right. I think I'll have to find a way to position a left side wand machine and I've recently been tempted by the upcoming Profitec Move, It's not E61 but does have a left sided steam wand.
@@MrRickytuk Thanks for the reply. Our minds seem to be connected as the Profitec Move is at the top of my list. The smaller dual boilers would work perfectly for my household. As we discussed I wish the steam and water spout were reversed. Lastly, really hoping Profitec will release the Move in white. My wife won't accept any other color.
Well, I not a huge fan of milk cups, my daily coffee is Americano most of the time, so which one is best for me? Elizabeth or Victoria? Are there any differences between them in espresso extractions?
Slight correction on the Victoria from my experience: there is just one pre-infusion setting (3 seconds water, 3 seconds pause). You can not change those parameters. Also with milk based drinks, I find brewing the shots before steaming the milk is a better workflow. The boiler heats up pretty quick from, in my case, 93 degrees celsius to 139 degrees celsius. Within 1,5 minutes. Yet cooling down takes much longer between 5 - 10 minutes, which is way too long to let the steamed milk rest. You can speed the cooling down up a bit by letting water flow through the steam wand, but it doesn't cool down within 5 minutes. Overall I'm very happy with my Victoria. It makes great shots and it has a nice sturdy compact design. Great value for money.
I mostly just drink espresso made with darker roasts that have chocolate and caramel undertones. What features do I need and what can I avoid? Thanks in advance.
Hello! Any of these machines will be a good fit for you. The main thing I'm hearing is that you don't really have a need for a hot water spout or a steam wand, so something like the Lelit Victoria might provide value as its single boiler makes it a little less capable for brewing and steaming simultaneously than the more expensive options, and it doesn't feature a dedicated hot water spout. Two things that it sounds like you don't have a need for!
I have similar tastes in coffee and have had a Victoria for the last 4 years. 2 coffees a day nearly every day of the year and I would buy another one in a heartbeat. It’s brilliant and hasn’t missed a beat. It would be all you need.
I've had a Victoria for years and I always make the espresso first. It definitely heats much faster than it cools, except perhaps if you run a lot of water through the head to cool it down.
because murica we have to suffer. In europe we have 230v x 16A fuse meaning espresso machine could be pulling 3680w and still be fine. Heating times would be 5min instead of 25min
With all the respect, About single boiler, I cannot disagree more. I own Lelit Grace (nearly the same as Victoria), and switching from espresso to steam is by far more convenient than steam to espresso. Especially with this machine, workflow from switch on to coffee + milk in cup, is quick.
Wow, wasn't aware of such a difference in performance for coffee machines in the US. I'm glad I'm in a country that supplies those extra volts then. I have the Elizabeth, and it was at its best when I had guests round and was making back to back milk drinks for a lot of people.

Facts! Gotta pour that milk fast for optimal latte art 👌🏻
Fully agree. That should work in any single boiler machine, right?

How did you find Kate to MaraX move? was it worth it? Is the warmup time much worse?

They should offer more models in painted versions. The Elizabeth in white would look wonderful.

How does this compare the the Synchronika? Would love to see a side by side on the Bianca vs the ECM Synchronika.
Bianca v3 owner.perfect❤
The Bianca is a staff favorite for sure!
Is it worth it to upgrade from Anna with PID to Mara X?
What are your needs? How many drinks per day you do and what type?

Plenty good for my needs
And in the cup , the better is E61 or others ?
Do all E61 Group machines have the steam wand on the left?

When is the elizabeth gonna be back in stock? Been waiting since like November.
There is also a 20% coupon until 20th April - LELITACF2024.
