Been using a carls volume control at end of series loop for 10 years for maxing preamp and turning volume down before power section. Glad more amps are adding that function to amps since 99% of the high gain tone we use today comes from preamp only.
I've had my 100w Leviathan for 6 months now, Im in an original thrash metal band but I play in a bunch of Cover bands to help pay the bills... Fact: channel 1 Clean is awesomely clean, I use it for disco, soul, funk, reggae. Turn the gain down to 1 and the Master up, crystal clear chimey cleans with a Strat... I only use a 2 pedals, a reverb and a Univibe, and the amps 3 channels... Souch more than a one trick pony... Huge shout out to Nik and Team Ceriatone, great video mate \,,/
I got the 50 watt Leviathan and it is bonkers. That clipper defeat on channel 1 is genius. Makes it more usable for cleans but also allows you to get some nice Plexi grit. The Era and S switches on the back are also real handy for changing the voicing. I got mine for $1500 bucks new which is bonkers considering this is hand wired point to point. I love channel 3 but I have been growing very fond of channel 2 with an OD. Great demo.
I'm 6 months late to the party, what the heck .. Nice demo , great playing , lots of different tones .. more demos on ceriatone amps if possible and anything else that might kick ass.
@@DebonaireDerek Same! Ordered a King Chupacabra(King Kong with the Chupa OD) the first week of January and still waiting ;) Everyday I'm hoping to wake up and see an email notification from Nik stating the amp is ready hahaha
@@bengirard1984 Yup, we are in the same boat haha. I asked Nik if can put a second volume with a footswitch on the Yeti and said they cant do any custom work at this time. I'm sure you hybrid King Kong is gonna be sick! It's hard to figure out the "flavors" from the website.
@@DebonaireDerek Yeah I know what you mean :) Though Kyle Bull did an excellent video on the Chupacabra and Jarrod from Tone Wars on the Molecular! It’s just depends what style of music you play. Imho, we’ll see more and more Ceriatone amps and demos in the next year because as much as some people knew about Ceriatone for a long time, it kind of blew up during the pandemic, hence the waiting time (it was “only” 5-8 weeks before Christmas, can you imagine? Haha).
had a ceriatone chupacabra for a bit, i liked it but i couldnt turn it up at band practice, not because it was too loud but because at high volume, it became just mess. there was no definition after about half way on volume. i liked it, but it wasnt something i could use live because of that.
Hey man! Cool demo!! Actually, the amp is indeed a clone of the Butterslax (with a few tweaks) so you were right on it haha They include a defeat switch on the clean channel to have it..well more clean than on the Butterslax) ;)

To get those sounds you don’t need anything super feature heavy. Actually a 100 or 50 watt straight plexi model with their Master volume would cover all that, except for Cinderella (at least Night Songs era) which is much more JCM800. I just played a 100 watt plexi with their Master and it sounded pretty damn good compared to the many clones and reissues I’ve owned or demo’d. The same store also sells Germino and there was nothing lacking in the Ceriatone.
I really hate that you made this video, I was so set on splurging on an Orange Dual Dark but the sound at 5:08 is so fucking good, just a touch darker and that be perfect for me. Now all I can think about is ordering one of these bad boys.

Not totally sure myself, this is the only one from them I've gotten to try out, but it certainly does cover a lot of hard rock and metal tones.

Ok but what does the clean tones sound like? If an amp can not do great clean tones then the other channels do suffer greatly.
I mean I don't really care if my clean tones are great, as long as the crunch and gain are great.
