I found this very logically set and the instructor bang on in terms of the scope of the discussion, sure public/private key detail was not discussed at length. But as far as fulfilling the requirements of what I need to setup in my lab to authenticate against different end-points. Well it was bank-on. Thumbs up for me.
Without mentioning that the public/private keypair is used to confidentially transmit a shared symmetric session key, I feel like you're missing a big chunk of the picture.

David Karam this should be possible. I believe for mobile device management tools this is they way to go.
Thanks! I had done some extra investigation in that direction and ADCS offers both NDES and CES for exactly that purpose.
