Another great video. Having spent almost 40 years paddling on the Puget Sound in NW Washington State, those tide and current calculations are pretty much second nature to me at this point, but I like Ray's laminated tide graph set up. Thanks for sharing these adventures my friend.
Excellent, you really get the feel of it. Thanks for sharing. I was pretty scared doing the Swellies for the first time in a kayak! Would love to do it in an open canoe. One for the list...
Hello Paul, I thought it was very interesting and fun to watch. It looks a good sport to be involved in. Keep up all your hard work and effort. Kind regards David
Wow, some awesome dig goin on there :0) Still can't wrap my noodle around paddling this time of year lol! But sure am enjoying watching, thanks for the vid!
On the Straits most weeks with a Canadian Canoe, have had the privilege of being paid to be taught by Ray on the water and on the hills. Paddling on the Straits is different and your attitude was good because even the best get overwhelmed by its power and size, in all the time I have spent on the straits, I only fear two things now, one is finding a body of unfortunate people who regularly throw themselves off the bridge, and being run over by a nutter with a speedboat (mostly summer hols or bank holidays)
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing

I'm fishing there tomorrow. I know the rapids and know I'm after the slacks. Well done on the kayaks boys and girls.
That looked like a fun day learning some important rough water tips, nice one, atb and have a good new year, regards, Paul.
Nice, there is a similar tidal movement under the bridge up at oban in Scotland, see lots of canoes up there during the tide changes
I'll have to check it out the next time I'm up that way :-)

A standing up surf paddle is very good for strong water, a bit heavy but you can get good Pace
great to see such a familiar place from a different angle.
It's enough fun in a sea kayak, let alone an open boat. That's verging on some Type 2 fun right there Paul... :-)
