- Van Life - Travel with a drone, and see so much more from the time you pull up to pack up.
In this video I go over the advantages of travelling with a drone.
This includes pulling up and checking the best surfing spots, the location of shops, the condition of the roads ahead, finding new swimming holes and rock pools.
Carrying a small drone can save you so much time and effort allowing you to explore an area while sitting comfortably in your camp chair.
I personally love my little DJI mini 2. This little drone gives me up to half an hour flight time, allows me to record 4K high definition videos and fly up to 10 kms away from the remote (line of sight)
So if you want to improve your holidays and see so much more I highly recommend buying one of these drones and start enjoying the advantages they bring.

Good comprehensive overview of using a mini drone while exploring the Coast.
Thanks mate. I’m still a novice but love it 😃👍
That's really cool and interesting vidz my friend. I really love that kind of camper van. Keep it up and more vidz to come brother. ☝️😊💯
Thanks so much. Really appreciate the kind words. I love the little Motorhome too 😃👍
Really enjoying your Video's & have just ordered a 2023 Jayco 20.5 due this November & have a new DJI 3pro with a big L plate on it. Look forward to your future posts. Cheers
Thanks Mork. Sounds like you’ve now got all the best toys. Thanks for watching & for the kind feedback. See you out on the road mate. 😃👍
@@TropicalZooms Hi Den, what i am most interested in is the Jayco 20.5 and your experiences and suggestions to get the best out of it, Extra solar / battery upgrade etc. & what limitations you've found. Cheers from SA

Hi again mate.
I’ve had two thoughts on this. The first is that in a lot of ways I am happy with what I’ve got as far as the one 100amp AGM deep cycle battery and the single 120 watt solar panel. I’ve been away in the MH a few times now off the grid and lived in it comfortably but been power conscious. Having the fridge and stove powered by gas is great, so the only things I really need the power for is the lights, water pump & stereo. So basically I’ll play it safe and only use one internal light switch to light the inside which uses next to no power. By the end of the night I’ve still got 90% charge. Then the following morning the solar panel recharges the battery back up to full again.
In summer I also use my little 18volt ryobi fan which gives me around 40 hours of power from its own battery that I charge up before leaving home. I only switch the fan on when I go to bed so it lasts me the whole weekend.
My other thoughts are that one day it might be nice to do the exact opposite and get two or 3 lithium batteries and another one or two panels and have a large enough inverter (maybe 3000 watts) and have it all wired up to the power points & air con in the van so I could use everything (air con, kettle, toaster, coffee machine) while being away of the grid for months in end. At the moment 90% of our trips are in van parks and I’m never off the grid for any longer than a weekend so the current set up works well for me at the moment.
I did make this video a while back just playing around with the power meter inside the van that may interest you. Thanks again for tuning in and the kind feedback. 😃👍

@@TropicalZooms Hi Den, again thanks for your information which is most useful. Regarding the elec awning has that been more problematic than just on your clips ( should i stick to manual ). The bike rack looked great and do you get to use it alot. We have a beagle who won't sit in a bike basket but we have two E-bikes so end up walking more often.
Yep we suffer from many first world problems.
Just a side note i hope Jayco are looking after you as you are the only owner on RUclips demonstrating the 20.5 that i have seen. It is the very reason i ordered a Jayco Conquest 20.5. as Jayco have very little promo on it.
Awesome ❤we use our drone to scout areas 😊🙏
They sure are great little gadgets to have on board. 😃👍
Another Beauty, A Chip Off The Old Block, and Much more Advanced with all this Stuff, Loved it Den. Dad.
It’s a hobby that I really enjoy doing. Great to be able to look back on these vids but also thrilled that others like watching them too. A real buzz to earn a bit of money doing a hobby that I enjoy too. A bit of extra incentive 😃👍
Good Morning mate I've got a DJI Pro 3 and I love it mate David from Milton NSW mate
Gday David. I love the look of the DJI pro 3. Love the sound of the extra long battery life & also the built in screen with the remote. My next drone maybe 😃👍

Haha, timely drone episode... but what about the follow me function ;)
Unfortunately my little drone (DJI mini ) doesn’t have the follow me function 🥲
good stuff Den... why wont this open on FB??? my vids wont open either
Not sure Fitz. They open from my Facebook, both yours & my vids.
Looks like a very handy little tool Den. Certainly helps when making content to keep changing up the scenery mate I think. I hope your having a great weekend mate as it’s certainly a hot one. 😊
Back home now mate. Loved it down there. Unfortunately too windy to go for a drone flight which would’ve been nice. Back at work tomorrow & back to reality. When’s your next van trip mate?
I don’t know if you remember, but my channel started out as a drone channel. I love flying drones! But with all the new regulations that are being implemented here in the United States this year, I am very discouraged to continue flying. One of the main reasons is “Remote ID” which is being implemented this year. If you don’t know what that is, it’s the ability for anyone who sees a drone in the air, they are able to download an app on their phone, and with that app, they are able to locate where the drone operator is. That means us pilots have the potential to be robbed! I do miss flying!
Jeez that sounds bad Tone. Over here there’s talk of drones over 250grams needing to be registered. I think that’s why all these new mini drones are becoming so popular. I’d be the same as you & would want people to know my position. Hope all is well mate. Catch you soon.
Hi mate, thanks so much for this video. We have had two & both were a touch light wait & were effected by breezes 😮(Holy stone HS120D) .
Wayne had one end up in a river. So always looking for easy to use/understand, but a more substantial model.
We also use the Open sky App.
Yeh. We live parallel lives. This is my second drone and am very happy with it. My original Was attacked by magpies and crashed into a Rockpool. I was devastated. Bought this little one shortly afterwards and love it. Ticks all my boxes. In saying that I do like the look of the DJI mini 3 pro with the built in screen in the remote control as well as the 50 minute battery. 😃
