The rhythms in Beggin' are incredibly memorable. The minor chords are heartwrenching. Great song. I loved your reaction when you realized you recognized it!
Madcon covered this song in 2007 and it was in the dance movie Step up. I was blown away that the Four seasons recorded this song in 1967. Very progressive for the time.
Now that you're going full Four Seasons, when you get back to Billy Joel you'll appreciate the homage he pays to them with his songs like "Uptown Girl."
I learned something today...never knew the break dancing culture sampled Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons! See...this is what happens.....generations sharing and learning from one another.
Yeah - much later, a tune you likely know, "Days Gone By" by Dirty Vegas? Different beat, same groove. Frankie was here! That just went on my Favorites. If it's NEW to YOU, it's BRAND-SPANKIN'-NEW!
This here track is one of the finest tracks ever recorded. The Four Seasons, with Frankie Valli, remain untouchable, for all times. And this one track, plus 'The Night', are here to make sure everyone knows just why that is. As the man says... Their catalog is just unbelievable. By the way... In UK, and the rest of Europe, he has something special going on. Him and the Seasons are top notch Northern Soul heros. And all this is earned. To the fullest.
If I had a voice like that I’d be walking around all day singing constantly. Check out Sherry by Four Season’s he hits notes they don’t have a name for.
Thanks so much. My Uncle, Tommy DeVito and the guys were ahead of their time in sound, Great vocals and harmonies. Real “street” relatable lyrics that still have meaning today.
Your Uncle Tomucci is my friend and mentor! My Great-Grandmother was the midwife in Silver Lake, Belleville. She delivered Tommy! Please tell him Frankie Maiorano said hello! P.s., Edda was a wonderful human being!💔
Frank Maiorano that’s a great story. Thanks for sharing. Happy his music is still appreciated. He is an amazing guy, with a lot of great friends. I will pass on your hello.
I’ve been showing all these Frankie Valley reactions to my mom. She loves them. This was her generation’s music. Thank you Jamal for making these videos ☺️
Jamal - I would definitely do Frankie Valli”s “Swearin’ to God” (long version). You’ll really hear him go soul/r&b all the way with that one. It’s a great one! 👍
Not sure if it's been mentioned but about 10 years ago a duo called Madcon covered this and they did a fantastic job. Updated but true to the original, and with their own dance!
No the Four Seasons did not use the "Wrecking Crew"--who were West Coast studio musicians---being an East Coast group the Seasons used East coast studio musicians-mostly from NYC-but certainly comparable to the "Wrecking crew "or any other studio musicians
This is the original in 1963 wow not the new one this brings much memories and now in 2021 music is truly dead . They keep on bringing the old classics
Here are a couple of hits from 1971 "Do you know what I mean" by Lee Michael and "Knock three times" Tony Orlando and Dawn another good one is "Tie a yellow ribbon" by Tony Orlando and Dawn. Madcon covered this song in 2007 and it was in the dance movie Step up. I was blown away that the Four seasons recorded this song in 1967. Very progressive for the time.
That piano riff could've been on any House track of the last 30 years.
Now that you're going full Four Seasons, when you get back to Billy Joel you'll appreciate the homage he pays to them with his songs like "Uptown Girl."
That's how I felt when I first heard this song too. WHOAAAA!!! 😂😂

Yes, this song is great and a lot of break dancers do use this beat to start their routine....Jamal keep doing what you do for us....Magnificant!
Thanks for keeping us entertained on Friday night. Can't go wrong with this group.
Who Loves You is another hit from this group.
Yes, love Who Loves You!
The one the breakdancers use is a cover by a group called Madcon.

Man, I've never heard this before. Great song. Now let's hear Let's Hang On and DAWN.
This here track is one of the finest tracks ever recorded.

I love this song, it has a very Temptations and Four Tops sound to it.
If I had a voice like that I’d be walking around all day singing constantly. Check out Sherry by Four Season’s he hits notes they don’t have a name for.

You are so right Jamel...we definitely begged to hear THAT voice! Love your reaction...AGAIN!
I was just listening to this song. Absolutely love it✨🎶💫
This song slams, a true classic.
I think this song, and a few others, where backed by the Wrecking Crew on instruments. If you haven't, check out "The Wrecking Crew" documentary.
AWESOME studio musicians, some of whom went on to have star careers of their own.
@@itsmissyvonne oh yeah, like the late Glenn Campbell who played with Carol Kaye.
No the Four Seasons did not use the "Wrecking Crew"--who were West Coast studio musicians---being an East Coast group the Seasons used East coast studio musicians-mostly from NYC-but certainly comparable to the "Wrecking crew "or any other studio musicians

My 17-year-old daughter's favorite song! She loves them and knows all their songs word for word.

This is the original in 1963 wow not the new one this brings much memories and now in 2021 music is truly dead . They keep on bringing the old classics

This song was waaaay ahead of its time. I would have been bumping the shit out of this in 1968.
Donald Driver won DWTS dancing to this song!
Frankie 1975 Midnight Special singing Swearin to God. Great video song and there's even Sistas singing background with him. Check it out Brother man.
You liked Dion’s “The Wanderer,” try his “Donna The Prima Donna.”
Can't believe I don't know this song! I was only 8 when it came out, but I love the Four Seasons.. really strange!
The night. Dude jumps off on the bass on that one.
