Thanks, Randy! I wasn't sure the wood blocks would perform well when I first imagined them, but they worked even better than I had hoped. The C-clamp, because the wood block keeps it vertical, doesn't lean over and hang up on the table when you try to move the fence. It's great! In order to do this, however, the swivel foot has to be temporarily removed from the bolt, then remounted once the bolt is inserted into the wood block. Not all swivel feet are removeable.
*Wow Mark, excellent job :) I know what you mean by router tables being expensive.* *I'm fortunate that I can access a Triton Router Table at my local Men's Shed, but I have been thinking of fabricating my own router table to set-up in my own work-space.*
Thanks, Leari! If I had a larger slush fund and were doing this full time, I would definitely invest in a good full-featured router table. As it is (I work full time in retail right now), I'm trying to get a small side business going making handcrafted art easels (www.easelmark.com). I make my own power tool carts mostly for the sheer enjoyment of it - and the woodworking experience. I've learned the most about planning ahead and careful pre-cut measurement.
Hi Mark -
I liked your idea for the c clamps. Thanks for making the video.

No Worries Mark :) I can understand, I'm trying to be economical with my own resources / finances as well.
