Sorry for the long video - I had to fast forward a couple of failed attempts- however, I hope you guys find the info interesting on these brand new in service SHN Secure Handcuffs 😀👍
I love these. Beautiful lightweight cuffs. I have so seen these labled as transport handcuffs. And thank you for showing the insides of the lock. You are Awesome!!!
More than welcome buddy 👍 I have seen them referenced as transport, but the transport variant is more like an extended hinge / spreader bar. Very cool, but awkward and expensive to aquire 😭 Stay safe and have a great weekend buddy 👍 😀
These are good cuffs. And the reason for the label transport handcuffs is that the dutch law enforcment calls handboeien (handcuffs) often transportboeien (transport cuffs) Since they are only allowed to be used during the transport of a suspect in the Netherlands.
It would have been smoother had the target area been a smidgin bigger 🤣 These deffo bring their A game to the party 🥳 Stay safe and have a great weekend buddy 😎🤘
Thanks plug - I have had these staring at me since Late April so it's taken me a while to find a flaw 🤣 Now I just need to tweak it to be useful whilst wearing them 🙃 Stay safe and have a great weekend buddy 😎🤘
Slight changes in design can make all the difference. Wish more lock manufactures took note of that!. wow a set of cuffs that gave you a hard time, that's a first!. Well done with the explanations and the demonstration, really interesting, cheers
These are definitely leaps and bounds better than their predecessor- it's incredible how much difference 1.5mm can make 🤣 Glad you enjoyed the video. I am going to revisit these later on in the year, hopefully I'll have improved my technique 🤣 I am still tempted to send them to Mrs Deadlocks for the random cuff selection 🤣🤣🤣🤣
These are without a shadow the most appealing set of secure restraints I own. No 'easy' win here. I'm my head I can only think of having outside help to get out of them..... Stay safe and have a great weekend buddy 😎🤘
A mighty fine (and very secure🙂) set of cuffs Coxy, an excellent reveal...well done. I'm just slightly puzzled how you removed the lock mechanism cover🥴....my S.P.E.'s are not dissimilar in looks but the body & fixed bow look to be a single piece of light alloy and the only access to the lock mechanism seems to be when the swinging bow is actually open, and I can't see any removable screws, also the double lock lever on the reverse side would impede the removal of said lock mechanism...I'm not about to start trying to destroy them as they cost quite a lot of money!!!...just intrigued how they differ from your SHN's in construction🤔
SHN have utilised full embodiment of the levers to the cuff, and use a half shell cover which has securing screws hidden by the bow. Both my LIPS and SPE cuffs utilise a cartridge style insert that I can't quite figure out how to remove in a non destructible way. I have seen photographs of the insides of LIPS from an old defcon brief that I was able to compare with. If you see a set of these for sale, be prepared for a tall asking price. Especially with how recently they have come into service. I really like them and super glad I have them in my collection ☺ Now I just need to come up with a reliable technique for escaping the damn things 🤣 Stay safe and have a great weekend and try not to get too wet - stormy weather inbound 😲
@@CoxysPicks Thanks for that, so my assumption was correct....I'll just enjoy the experience with my SPE'S and leave the technical stuff to experts like you😎🙂....the rain has arrived, but the thunderstorm seems to have petered out off the Isle of Wight at the moment, no sign of it on the weather radar🤔..stay safe and have a fab weekend....in the 🌦😉🙋♀️
Wow - what a great pair of cuff. Nice design - with the single (instead of double) bow and the openness around the pawl. Thank for putting this together - very informative. Are these cuffs (or ones like it) readily available?
These are based of the classic LIPS design. There are a number of SPE cuffs floating about with the older lips design. But LIPS don't pop up very often. There is a set of standard SHN (only the keyway changes for the Detective variety, not the lock mech) on ebay for a rather large sum - £230. Personally, I would track down a set of LIPS ASSA ABLOY, they are heavy and just as mean 🤣 Stay safe and have a great weekend buddy 😎🤘
Wow - expensive. Definitely going to have to save up for them. They are very nice cuffs, however. Whats the different between the detective and non-detective ones? Let me know if you see any on sales...
There is little to know difference apart from rarity. There is a standard set on ebay atm. Personally I would invest in a set of LIPS Assa ABLOY. They are a lot easier to aquire and damn good fun 👍

This is just like watching Chris Capune using the two wire method of picking a lever padlock. Both of you are quite skilled at it! 👍😊🦊

That minute change made a big difference but you still found a way around it, excellent stuff ;-)

I might send em to Mrs D as a trap 🤔
Stay safe buddy 🤘😎
@@CoxysPicks no thanks. I like being able to escape🤣
It's nice to see a company trying to do it properly. Great show and tell video Coxy 😁👍🏻
Thanks Roy 👍They deffo went above and beyond when they made these cuffs.
Stay safe and have a great weekend buddy 😎🤘
@@CoxysPicks Who Www can you just open the lid to get to the mechanism. is that loose in real live????
To get access to the mechanism you need to unscrew under the bow. 👍
@@CoxysPicks Thank you for replying. I bought this. because they are used by the Dutch police and are also made in the Netherlands. Greetings from NL
No problems- you do need a specific security bit though - I can't remember what one, but it was in my console repair kit 😉

@RandomJim42 - Yup, thankfully you can use a LIPS key......
If you happen to have one floating around 🤣
