      Same man. I have dark brown hair so if I want any color to be seen I have to bleach it. Though people seem to think my hair is lighter than it is because I use dark hair color even if I don't bleach it to hide my grey strands I've been getting.

    Coconut oil actually makes bleached hair brittle. I was so damn confused why my hair was breaking after using coconut oil and when I spoke to my hairdresser it's because it weakens it. Good on dark hair though.

    • @nikolagacek2348
      @nikolagacek2348 6 лет назад +14

      Sebell no worries! Its actually because coconut oil is very heavy. Since bleached hair is already weakened by the whole chemical process applying something that weighs down in it causes it to snap from the pressure. I use almond oil which is great, and you can add some honey and eggs into it too :)

    • @mummamea19
      @mummamea19 6 лет назад +29

      I left coconut oil on my bleached hair for 48 hours and WOW it was my softest hair ever !
      I have thin fine hair , there was no weighing down for me . Plus I clamped mine up.

      I was finding the same thing, until i finally went to a hairdresser when it got so bad and broken so short, and she told me it was bad for my hair and i was double processing it because it pulled the bleach onto the already bleached parts. its taken a year for it to grown to a reasonable length! Avoid coconut oil before bleaching.

    The difference between the different developers-10% to 40% - is actually the TIME of development . 40% much faster than 10%. So if left on longer 40% WILL cause more damage than say 20% left on for the same amount of time . And if you get the coconut oil on virgin hair 8t will prevent colour removal

    How can you only bleach roots and still have an even colour? I'm having trouble getting my hair evenly bleached 😅😭

    Brad Mondo said in a video that lightener will cut through all that coconut oil so it’s pointless. Only things that help are Olaplex treatments as well as Protein treatments like Aphogee.

    The kind of bleach definitely makes all the difference. Of course the better, more high end/ expensive products will work better and be better for your hair than some couple dollar package of bleach. The best bleach and developer in the world is blonde me, both bleach and developer together seriously protect your hair while the bleach has bonding agents in it to help prevent hair breakage. Definitely look into it. I know I'm behind on the video but whatever 😂

      brad mondo says otherwise. any bleach brand works the same cause bleach is bleach, same chemical, just different brand.

      @@Jay-rc1sw cheap drugstore bleach lifted my hair unevenly with 30 vol and barely lifted two levels. The blonde me gets me to platinum in one process with 20 vol so the chemical is probably the same but the additives make a difference I think

    I have green hair, but every like 6 months I do my roots. I can’t afford to get it done professionally, but I always have a hard time matching the green up after my roots are blonde. My hair is also super thick. I HATE DOING MY ROOTS SO MUCH OMG it’s so stressful, takes me all day, and usually have to go back over it. Ugh
