As someone with curly hair and who has bleached it, my curls are still popping. You just have to find the right method for your hair pattern, texture, and porosity. The layers help take the weight off your hair too which is probably why your curls are more present than before

My tip for the curly girl method is that people usually try it and then cherry pick which elements work for them.
Also for pool water (and also sea water) I believe the tip is to get your hair wet with normal water beforehand

u actually can, i think) hair that close to the scalp always comes lighter than the lengths, cuz your scalp creates heat which helps bleaching process faster, so it's really not that hard to go blond if u just gonna do the roots. The reason why lots of people fry their hair, in my humble opinion, is trying to go blond at once (especially with colored hair/or very dark hair) with overprocessing the hair or the roots! Like, if u need to bleach the lengths twice or more - don't touch the roots and do them only with the last bleach session, since roots can easily go blonde from the first time.
Neon yellow over the blonde will make this magical!!

my wavy hair/pool tip is to do french or dutch braids, it keeps your hair out of your face and in my experience makes detangling my hair after swimming way easier (as opposed to a bun or ponytail). also the best way i’ve found to repair my hair after swimming is to do an apple cider vinegar rinse to remove all the chlorine. pool chemical buildup on the hair is really damaging can be really hard to remove sometimes and acv is the best thing i’ve found for my hair so far.

Well, if anything, my hair was curlier when it was a bit fried by the hair dye lol. After growing it out and chopping the damage off, it got a bit looser.
If you'll get around to try curly girl method, remember that you don't *actually* have to change all of your hair products instantly, you can start with styling techniques and your existing products, maybe buy mousse or gel if you don't have any. See if you like it and want to try more, but don't feel like you have to. Curls work from the technique first, products outside from styling are there to keep the hair "healthier", and not everyone's hair (and scalp) are better off without sulfates-silicones.

If you try the curly hair stuff, you have to use a protein hair mask in your hair to actually have any of the methods or products work. I bleached my hair for 7 years and had all kinds of rainbow type hair, but when I tried the curly hair stuff it didn’t work. But the protein hair mask actually made it possible for my hair to be curly.
I second this - mine was quiiiiiite torched from bleaching and colour removers and box dye and more colour remover…and using a combination of Curlsmith Bond Salve Rehab thingy and K18 leave in repair mask (alternating them, one each week) I got it back to quite curly! Each of these products are available in mini sizes, less than or approximately £10 each, so you can try them out

I think orange roots with the red would give you fire hair which is cool or maybe yellow roots going into orange to red? But I still love the blonde roots actually
I have bleached hair too and I follow the curly method. My hair is wavy/curly and despite the damage of the bleach looks quite healthy as I use a lot of masks and never straighten it. So you could try with some leave in and a gel or mousse. Apply them on very wet hair and scrunch it. I think that the side that doesn’t want to curl, actually wants to curl towards your face. Natural hair is rarely even. My right side curls towards my face, but the left one curls away and if I try to change it’s a mess.
all I can say is: YOU ARE RIDICULOUSLY PRETTY
We have pretty much the same hair texture and im telling you, the curly girl method WILL WORK. They'll be really loose curls at first, but my curls have only been tightening over time. The type of shampoo/conditioner you use is the most important part imo. Once i started using curly hair shampoo/conditioner my hair texture improved dramatically

Dye the roots yellow! Then you'll have a nice transition from yellow -orange - red ❤❤
Try using a regular curling wand and then put in the rollers to set them. The only thing you need is a good heat protection in the beginning and the spray when the rollers are in. Also get magnetic rollers with the clips so you won’t have to tear them out and having the curlers mess up the curls.
Yesss 👏I mentioned doing bright white roots and red ends in a past video and I'm glad you did that! In my previous comment, I suggested keeping your natural hair a little grown out so it looks like shadow root -> white -> red. So for a more grungy vibe maybe you could play around with giving yourself a shadow root so the white fades at the top of the scalp ?

I bleach my locks and still use 90% of tips for curly girl method, and it really works. And if you use serum (Olaplex #1) while bleaching and then occasionally make Olaplex #3 treatment, it will work magic.

Looks great! But I think it won't last long, probably the first or second hair wash will bleed the red into the blonde part, and it will turn out pink-ish or orange depending on the undertone of the red you've used. I'm glad that you used 20vol developer and not 30 or 40 even. bleach responsibly, don't overlap and your hair stays in good condition.
