This is the final music of the Internet.
"I was playing a gig with Buchla the other night and.."
"You mean Buchla the synth?"
"No, Buchla himself!"
RIP Don Buchla!
Proud to say: I was there that night.
Epic. What an amazing experience!
Did u wear ear plugs?
@@playgroundofsound7683 Most likely not! Why?
Wow! Lucky!!
No one trust you because you are virtual
Knowing Buchla's and Cortini's story and legacy. This is truly one of the most poetically beautiful performances ever.
Someone once told me electronic music has no heart. Yet here I am.
When the world ends, this music will be playing in the credits.
Thanks Alessandro to share this amazing performance.
RIP Don Buchla :(
Buchla synths are the most beautiful sounding electronic musical instruments ever built.
R.I.P fella you were a true icon for our time 👌🏼
Who? GunPowderBob?
this is something i would love to show people a thousand years from now. we did this.
so here i am again revisiting a masterpiece once again. dont you all agree this is one of the all time greatest synth tunes ever created. the warmth and ethereal feeling is like some timewave washing over the soul.
🤮
Friendly reminder
Keep returning here to! It never gets old…. Truly timeless
Don will be deeply missed by the synth community, his engineering and artistic achievements will always be a reference to us all. RIP
Don's looking at this synth with so much love.
Hope the universe will give him as much love as he gave to sound and exploration through his life.
The vactrols are bleeping, man. Have a good trip.
I knew and worked some with Don. A true original and an all around nice guy who was brilliant and always seeking "the sound". RIP friend.
7:08 that smile just melted my heart. RIP
When I was taking the course in music, I applied feedbacks and resonances in my gigues the result was weird..." 't'was in 1977 and they called it noise" So i quit....this legendary man "Bucha' did something remarkable on this... and others still doing the same applied melodic resonance as music.
Rest In Peace Don....a true pioneer, and a huge inspiration. I am so grateful to have been able to meet and speak with you. Keep those frequencies flowing wherever you are!
this is the soundtrack for when someone reciprocates your love in its totality
it feels exactly like this, damn
I find it more as though when you’re remembering someone who used to reciprocate your love in its totality...
🥱🥱😴
I'm going to remember this comment from now on...
i believe it too
the soundtrack when we fly away to the heaven
this looks almost like God and Jesus, and sounds like an ascension....
I hope Don's last voyage is as beautiful as this piece of music
couldnt have put it better
Agreed
Beautifully said. Rest in peace, Mr. Buchla.
Nailed it!
Yup
When i dont know what to do, this is the song i always end up listening too. Beautiful.
Brought me to tears. This is epic, earthy and heavenly at the same time. Fundamental beauty. When I close my eyes, I can see pictures of the evolution of the planet and all living species. This performance and the sound is an experience!
I was fortunate enough to be at this show. Sounded so great live.
When someone has left the known paths and is following his own one leading to a "new kind of music"! Great!
Love this one.
He must have been so happy to play one of his creations on his favourite instrument with the creator of said instrument 🤯
I listen to this at least one time a month. Not so often ‘cause I don’t wanna burnout its beautiful essence
Probably the most touching live modular performance of all time. Thank you!
Seeing you both with the wall of wires, lights and knobs in front of you - it does something to me. I wish...... I wish I had found this 9 years ago.
Never too late... one of the greats.
Yes, it’s not too late! Get yourself a Volca modular or Make Noise 0-Coast and get started!
Thanks Alessandro for this beautiful duet with Don Buchla.
If you listen to this while smoking weed you did something right
Requiescat in pace, Mr. Buchla. You've more than earned it, and your place in musical history is secured. :'(
This video feels like humans have figured out how to make music out of electrical machinery intended for telecommunications, and this is the first demonstration ever.
Such and amazing performance. I keep coming back here.
This is really one of the great musical performances ever.
Agreed. I keep coming back to it.
Huh, thats weird
Its amazing what can be done with a simple 4 note progression. Truly the master of less is more with the cross modulation.
What I always loved about your work is how you play with your BBD's. Having one play off of the others cross phase until the resonance of that phase sweep is it's own welcome harmonic.
Beautiful.
Your Strega had me exploring this with FM and Saturation. Learning to play with the hidden layers of harmonics.
Your gift to the world will be forever understated but always remembered.
R.I.P you are and will always be a big inspiration keep on patching wherever you are. my music wouldn't be the same without your mind.
This never ages. This is always sublime.
... and so,
everything ends here
and returns whence it came ...
requiescat in pace, maestro

I can't begin to explain how and how much this music speaks to me. So many emotions colliding and blending.
Somehow it seems beyond ancient
Beautiful piece! Don't stop making music, Alessandro!
Such tenderness in this performance.
When September 14th, 2016 arrived - this song played as Don ventured on wards. RIP
I think one of the most amazing performances... musicaly I strived for this.. and failed... still there is time yet!
Never stop striving my friend.
Looking up Buchla synths and with little knowledge of what they were. Found this. Oh my god this is amazing.
RIP Mr. Buchla
my room is vibrating insanely...thank you
how synths can make you cry... fortunately.
This performance makes my tears wet every single time I see it. Thanks Allessandro & Don for everything!
Still the best modular jam in the world
Whats it like to play with the creator of the Buchla, It must have been an amazing feeling to be on stage with Don. Great perfomance keep em coming!!
Still in love with this tube as always. reminds me of some Joy Division track that should have been after love will tear us apart. it would`nt be out of place. simply divine and a classic piece of music this. adore it. amazing.
Actually I’m listening this while ending a chapter in my life, 100% recommended.
tu Alessandro Cortini, sei un genio, sei la controprova che la genialità non sta nel risolvere teoremi.
Grazie veramente per questi bellissimi suoni.
Orgoglio italiano! Uno dei pochi che stimo insieme a Ferretti.
Haunting, wish I could have experienced this in person.
Haunting, wish I could have experienced this in prison.
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ive ever heard!!
Haunting, beautiful and moving
Good night Mr Buchla
A soundtrack to my day.
i cried for an hour, just hit loop, and turned out the lights, as the blue light radiated through my skull, i began to realize my deepest problems, the ones i needed to void before i could move on... sometimes i come back to that same setting, and this same song, it helps me understand my being.
Amazing performance! Performing with a legend the likes of Don Buchla must have been an incredible experience.
Forever grateful
what a touching piece. RIP don.
Probably the finest synthesizer track I know of

In the silent whisper of cosmic tides,
Stars weep echoes of forgotten skies.
Eternal chords in shadows play,
Where light and darkness blend and sway.
So sad to hear the news... Visionary.
