Lol, i guess Africans are very well educated then. Because when i was in school in Africa, I could name a lot of European, asian, and American countries.
When you say "American countries", are you referring to North and South America? And is it common where you're from to refer to both continents as America?
That's not being educated it's being mentally colonized. Instead of focusing on pertinent issues about Africa our education indoctrinate us with unnecessary extensive material on wastern history and geography. Meanwhile a western graduate can hardly mention 3 African countries.
Eresh Tchaku I’m sorry, but what kind of pertinent issues should they teach students in school? And how is learning about the world being mentally colonized? That was a really dumbass statement .
Mahela Mbukusa Exactly. The black girls in the States are primarily preoccupied with looking cute and showing off their bodies. Many of them don't have even basic knowledge about Africa. A great shame.
I started researching different countries and their political stances when I was in elementary school. Our school district is known for being one of the best in the area yet, not even one student could name a country in the Middle East nor Africa. Our history curriculum prioritized American History over World History until I reached high school.

Well, had you caught me with that question, off the top of my head without googling - you ready?? Here goes: Ethiopia, Somalia, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Chad, Niger, Nigeria, Angola, Zimbabwe, South Africa, DRC, Madagascar, Sudan, South Sudan, Mali, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Ghana okay... the answers are taking longer to think up, but yeah. Not all Americans or Houstonians are unaware of our African brothers and sisters. God bless y'all. Keep making these videos!!
Without help from google or any map, I try it from north to south and from west to east: Marokko, Algeria, Tunesia, Libya, Egypt, West-Sahara (part of marokko?), Mali, Tchad, Niger, Sudan, Somalia, Senegal, Gambia, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Burundi, Cameron, Congo, Ruanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tansania, Sambia, Simbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, South Africa.... I know, I forgot a few and maybe I wrote some countries wrong, but I'm german.... Why do I know so much countries and know them in a good geographic order? Because I liked geographic very much in school and even with 38 years, I often spend time on watching maps. Greetings from Germany 🙋♂️

On the one hand I feel it’s a shame that I used to know very little about the world, but then again, just know the name doesn’t feel necessary to me. Still impressive though 👍 I hope we can all have more experiential learning. I know a tiny tiny bit about Igbo Hausa Yoruba Ga Ewe and Akan just because I made friends from West Africa. Still, it’s embarrassing that Americans don’t know a little more being that we call ourselves a melting pot. Maybe I’ll make some friends from central Africa at some point and learn more 😊 cheers

Cause this documentary was done my white people to justify their innocence...and Nelson Mandela didn’t say he was “clean” he has spoken to the media back in the 1960’s about how peaceful protesting won’t solve everything and they had to take brutal force...Look you might as well justify what white people did to black people e.g like Steve Biko and every black person who had to resist to live a free life with no systematic racism...Too be honest...we had “traitors” ...yes things were done to them if caught but don’t act like the apartheid didn’t have traitors and if discovered ...may I ask what happened to the white people who supported the movement against apartheid?
So true! I have seen so many Africans who always mention Africa instead of the country which they came from. Keith Williams 🤦🏾♀️ How well do you know the history of South Africa?
Keith Williams Clearly if you took history anywhere...this would be considered bias propaganda.
Africa really need a strong mainstream media industry to positively portray each country.
