Sean was a decent surfer in his day. Played a big part in pushing WA surfing news

Australia is mostly over-run with Cats and Goats, nothing like it was 400 years ago.

Hope they will run night walks from the lodge to see the animals.

Hope it's a success but struggle to see how they can keep out the species associated with humans (Cellar spiders, rats, mice, etc) that will attack native invertebrates and fauna etc

great project, I wonder why they all seem so earnest and humourless?

Watch out if you go to this island with your 4WD. You WILL get bogged and it will cost you a small fortune to get rescued. You do not want to get stuck here.

Yep plenty of effort, gear and knowledge required to do this trip from what I've seen.
Even getting to the barge and back on the mainland takes a while.

Cats in Australia big enough to pull down a fully grown sheep
    REALLY. SENSATIONALISM at its best

the news arent reporting it it's just random farmers back in the 70s, like the type of people now that write absolute nonsense and gibberish in youtube comment sections

What a waste of good farming land!

I wonder how much food you waste. Hopefully you eat meat infrequently because it’s for animals to convert a plants into meat is inefficient. Note: I’m not telling you to stop eating meat. Just eat less of it.
Once you can cut back on the amount of meat you eat, next cut back on the amount of food you waste.
These 2 actions are within your control.
When you have reduced food waste then worry about wasting good farming land.

Soil was rubbish and cost of running the farm too expensive.
Like any failing business you close it down.
No one is upset they can't buy horse shoes at the general store coz the world moves on mate

You’re mad if you think that’s good farming land. At 4:10 he says it wasn’t viable even in the 1980s.

Nah farming has enough area imo and humans don't need to dominate everything by their actions.
Well managed tourism will pay dividends and we can see the area as it should be.

Agree, what a waste of good farming land. With our technology and knowledge, I'm sure some form of local farming could be managed in an environmentally friendly way

'Cause Australia doesn't have enough farming land of better quality?
