    Spoiler alert: I'm not a professional runner; just someone who loves the freedom of a morning run. Today, I'm spilling the beans on why I choose the great outdoors over the confines of a gym treadmill. (Confession: I've never even stepped on one!)
    Running outside in nature, especially in the crisp morning air, is my go-to. There's something magical about breathing in the clean ocean air instead of the filtered air of a gym. Living in the stunning coastal town of Yzerfontein, on South Africa's West Coast, is a blessing. Just 90km from Cape Town, this picturesque spot offers the perfect backdrop for my runs, with its breathtaking coastal scenery.
    On my runs, I immerse myself in the beauty around me, listening to the waves, and feeling the fresh morning breeze on my skin. Engaging all my senses keeps me present, allowing me to release any mental clutter. It’s not just about physical exercise; it's a mindfulness practice. Each run not only brings physical movement but also mental clarity and emotional release, a therapeutic escape wrapped in nature's embrace.
    I get it - many folks hit the gym out of necessity, especially city dwellers looking to squeeze in a workout before starting their day. But if you can, I encourage you to venture into nature occasionally. Experience what I experience - it's so much more than just running.
