Some fairly devastating objections here! I've always been doubtful as well about all the "possible worlds" talk which seems to have such a tight grip over much of analytic philosophy these days. I've done some work on modality myself, & I find actually that I'm able to think much more clearly and effectively without it. A lot of the points you made had an almost Heideggerian flavor. Great stuff!
I think Victor did a fine job critiquing Lewis' possible worlds approach. I have no doubt Lewis would offer some thoughtful replies if he were still around, though I think he would certainly have to take Victor's arguments seriously. How do you suppose Lewis would respond? @Tendomcgoobin
@@Tendomcgoobin The final objection at the very least showed that Lewis' analysis of belief is completely underpowered because it cannot even contend with the existence of people who don't believe in it. It's impossible for those people to exist, according to his analysis. So either those people are lying to themselves, or the analysis is just wrong.

Thanks!
There was nothing "devastating" in this video. Hardly arguments even. In every possible world that Lewis was still living he would dismantle this guy.
