    Spot-on and genuine reaction to using Livescope in this vid. The feeling never goes away for me. Every time I see the fish on the screen and can plainly ID the species based on shape and watch them react real-time it just makes me giddy. Whether they’re biting or not it’s fun to see them and though your friend tries to naysay about it not being that much of an advantage, it is a huge advantage over a flasher where you can’t ID a species or watch numerous holes in that shallow of water. It even beats an underwater camera that becomes useless in stained or silty waters, but where the Livescope will continue to work. Fun vid with real excitement! Nice job!

    The buddy saying the livescope is t an advantage is crazy. Everyone who says that a livescope doesn’t have an advantage is probably jealous about you having livescope. I used to say the same thing before I had it and I know deep down I wanted livescope. There’s a reason every tournament or serious fishermen uses it lol.

      Thx! I've been loving that 24v too!! Even now with 12-15" of ice it's been a workhorse for the small profile. I bought a couple extra batteries for it right away (have 3) but so far haven't had to crack into a backup on a single trip. Pretty dang cool!

    At this point, with how affordable electric augers are, I just assume anyone running gas is doing it to make a point, and I totally low-key hope they fall through, into like... 3' water. Enough to scare em and make em cold, but close enough to the truck that it's not an emergency. The other MAJOR advantage to livescope is that you can ACTUALLY FIND THE FISH. You can look around, and see them. You can find a group, and if they're not active, go find somewhere else. Rather than just "hoping" you're on the right spot.

      The Panoptix is still huge IMO I can’t believe the difference it’s shown me already. And once you have it adjusted right you can tell which end of the mark is the tail or head of the fish. But I think the biggest thing for both is that you know how many fish are “around “ your hole and how you can get them to react to your bait where with the flasher you never even knew they were there.

    • @TargetWalleye
      @TargetWalleye  3 года назад

      Hahaha no. What I meant was when I see a mark/fish come in on the LiveScope that's as long as that northern was, it would be about a 30" fish...and hopefully next time a walleye that's 30" long.

    • @TargetWalleye
      @TargetWalleye  4 года назад +2

      Once you go longer, you won't go back. Those 30-32" are great for inside the shack so your hookset doesn't hit the ceiling. If it's for hole-hopping outside I wouldn't go shorter than 36" again. Like them up as long as 40" for walleyes. Maybe split the difference and do-up a 38"! 🤷‍♂️

  • @jkvisker
    @jkvisker 4 года назад

    What brand and size of rod are you using? It seems everyone is going to longer and longer rods...

    • @TargetWalleye
      @TargetWalleye  4 года назад

      Those were both 36" MH. One was a St. Croix Avid Ice Jigging and the other was the Ice Team Pro Series Ross Robertson Rod.
      Just like open-water, once you go with a longer rod you won't go back! Unless you're fishing inside of a shack of course.
