Dude. I never would’ve thought that placing it horizontal would make a difference but it actually worked. Thank you sir, I flipped mine from being vertical and now it works!! I typically game on PlayStation, so vertical was most of the time ok.
I know I ha be to put it vertically because my desk is too small to have it horizontally but as soon as I put it horizontally it fixed everything. I even opened it up and looked at every single piece and part in my Xbox now I feel dumb because it was such an easy fix.
I Did the Hard Power Cycle and it worked, Thanks!! Also, beforehand I put the disk halfway in and had my finger on the middle hole, let it spin for a bit and let it insert. Not sure if that contributed but it works now!
Hay i did the power button on console for ten seconds and turned it back on and mine is a forza edition of the original xbox one from 2013 and it worked and now im playing forza horizon 4 and made me happy so i give you all my blessings to you
Did all this nothing works. And the game is brand new. It’s assassins creed mirage tried 3 different copies. Tried the cleaning thing for the disc reader nothing works. Other games work fine
I think it's Microsoft knowingly putting in crap disc drives again and the updates bricking the disc drive to push gamepass and digital sales. Plus they want £290 on a repair. Mine hasn't worked properly since it was brand new, wouldn't read old backwards compatible titles at all. Problems slowly got worse and I've been forced to buy games digitally again. Microsoft customer services just rinse and repeat the same troubleshooting steps and pass the call on then hang up. I also had to registered my console twice, it disappeared from my Microsoft account devices. Every xbox console I've ever had, the disc drive has stopped working. I upgraded from the 360 and xbox 1 for this exact reason, and it's happening again. Planned obsolescence if you ask me. Next gen will be digital only because they want you locked in online not physically owning any of your games like. It's intended

I had an issue with my Blu Ray player not working after the most recent Xbox update. I Uninstalled then reinstalled the Blu ray app and it fixed the issue.
I did all the methods, none of them worked. Unfortunately I have to do the Factory Reset (Keep Save Data). I don’t wanna do the full factory reset. So if this doesn’t work, I just have to beat the shit out of my Xbox One and hope that the disc drive aligns itself.
@@willcrosby7884 Same here, I think it's because it's something to do with the lazer reader inside the disk drive. Xbox 360 disks & CD's are made of well, CD's but I assume that with the Xbox one disks, they're made of a different material due to color & shine.
i've got a older minecraft xbox one edition disk from 2017 and it's got a couple scratches on it, not only that but i don't really know if my xbox can take discs. It can take discs but when my dad brought my xbox the guy said it was digital. Would it work?
Bought mw3 and I played for awhile got to level 360 , then all of a sudden it’s telling me to buy the game when I have it on disc !! Very frustrating, funny cause they gave a free trail just now for rebirth and i had all my load outs and could play on my account, doesn’t make sense , maybe it’s the console being old ?? Idk 🤷🏻♂️
What is the point of downloading the game to the bloody hard drive if you still need the damn disc player to run for 5 mins just to make sure its not a pirated game. Stupid af.

If it can take anything besides that Minecraft Disc, it’s the disc. You can get it resurfaced by retailers or other people.
