JTS2 Ep 4: Wild Coast Wanderings - from Mazeppa Bay to Wild Lubanzi

Revisiting old favourites and discovering new ones - that is why we get on the road - and Mazeppa Bay was a new destination for me!
Sadly we only spent one night here but I was excited to get on the road and discover more of the Transkei. It would be a LONG day behind the wheel as we took the 'scenic' route from Mazeppa Bay up to Wild Lubanzi Backpackers - the destination well worth the tough drive!
We invited the community to lunch - what an amazing energy and vibe - and met such super cool people that not even a major drama with our rig could ruin our mood!

Oh wow thanks for that message Jason! It’s exactly for messages like this that I get on the road and put the show together!
Transkei is actually very new to me - have only spent time way down south - which is why I wanted to spend time getting to appreciate the place and the people in this season.
Have had a few discussions around where to go with the Series AND we are definitely going to do a short trip (6-8 days) that people can join us on in the new year and then another long trip end of the year

Theres no better place to go to, the people, the food, I can go on and on. Transkei is rustic but that's what makes it and the roads are all part of it. Great video and keep them coming.

Was just happy to be back in the water - wasn’t sure i’d get that range back to paddle.
Its a lekker spot - good to hang out there for a few days for sure but sadly our series sees us on the move all the time. 😊
