@@mikestevenson1334 How exciting! I was looking at the Fenix 7 Pro but didn't find a good deal anywhere. And I think it'll be a bit big for me to wear every day, as I wear it to bed and basically never take it off. How are you finding it?
@@YuennyLam Honestly, I wasn't sure how the biggest watch Garmin makes would fit, but when I combine it with this awesome nylon strap I got, it works really well. It feels no different to the forerunners and I wear it 24/7! =D How are you enjoying your new watch?
That's interesting. I thought a chunkier watch would be more uncomfortable and that you might feel the weight more. I'm enjoying my new watch. It's very similar to the 255 but longer battery. I think I'll be content with this watch for many years without having to worry about upgrading, especially with more watches having an AMOLED screen 😊
I'm curious about your impressions of the new watch. The 955 is slightly thicker, however, and larger. Do you notice the difference when you use it 24/7? I'm also wondering whether to change my 255 to 955... I miss the touch screen and hot keys in the 255...
I'll be doing a video on the 955 soon and also compare it to the 255. I feel like there aren't many reviews on the two and I feel like 955 isn't that much of an upgrade to the 255, as the 255 is already really good as a sports watch. It is thicker but same as the 255, I don't really feel it wearing it 24/7. I thought I would, especially in bed, but it's surprisingly lightweight and comfortable. I don't really use the touch screen to be honest. I like the idea and during the day I would like to have it on for scrolling but I'd have to turn it off when I go to bed because actually turning the screen on in the night is just going to wake me up. And I'm a super light sleeper as it is with insomnia, so anything that could wake me up is a big no no.
@@YuennyLamSorry, but I have one more question... What is the advantage for you personally of exchanging 255 for 955? Since you don't actually use the touchscreen....
@@F.Adamus No need to apologise 😁 I want better map function and longer battery. And a silly reason - the 255 and 955 are the same size in terms of diameter but the 955 looks bigger with the extra height and just the design of it. I also want the Training Readiness and live Stamina feature that the 255 doesn't have. Those are a bit new to me so I don't know how much I'll actually use them or feel the benefit. But even when I got the 255, I really wanted the 955. It was just too expensive at the time. Hope that answers your question 😊

@@YuennyLam yeah, I only take off my Fenix when I shower or if I really need to charge it. When I remember, I charge it when I shower, but sometimes I forget 😅 But I'm so used to sleeping with it on my wrist; I think it would feel weird not to 😅 And I love having it as my "alarm", vibrating my wrist instead of a noisy sound alarm
@@YuennyLam looks like my comment got lost when sending it. Either way, I wear my Fenix all the time except when showering 😊 No issues for me, even considering going for the X model next time
@@NeuwDk I like how big the X is. Good to know that it feels okay to wear all the time and that it doesn't get in the way despite it being quite a big size.
Found the comment 😁 I really love the alarm feature on the 255 and now 955 as well. I usually shower with mine so it gets cleaned and then I usually take it off to dry. That's when I plug it on to charge if it needs topping up.
@@MrPongdanai Yes, the screen is more reflective, comparing it with the 255 I had. The solar ring does appear more reddish and in certain light the ring is more noticeable. I don't mind it though. It kind of makes the watch look shinier in a way. At the start I found it slightly harder to read but soon got used to it. Hope that helps.
@@YuennyLam Thanks! I'm torn between 955 non-solar and 955 solar. I heard that 955 solar has slightly less contrast on its display compared to non-solar. 955 solar touch delay more than non-solar.
Solar definitely has less contrast I would say day but still very readable. I've not had any issues with reading the screen. I thought I would use the touchscreen on my 955 but I've actually turned it off. I feel like I keep accidentally touching the screen on a day-to-day basis, which is annoying to me, so I can't quite comment on the responsiveness of it. I personally really like the idea of the solar version. Most people say it's not worth paying extra but I find the battery lasts longer despite the limited sunshine we get in the UK. The battery is still really good with the non-solar option. It's a difficult choice because I went through the same thing when I was deciding 🤔 and finally settled with solar because I've always wanted the solar version. Best of luck deciding! 👍🏻
