Really thrilled to see these selfishly ruined lands being restored! Hopefully displaced and discharged coal miners will be put back to work restoring the lands their companies destroyed.
That is a good thought. I'd like to learn more about these sorts of projects and what kind of ongoing maintenance occurs. Restoration is more than just planting trees.
I'm always impressed with The Nature Conservancy. Please work with states and federal government to plant native shrubs and plants in the medians of interstates and highways. Too often I just see grass or something ineffective that adds no value. Think of all the bees coming back if this is accomplished. Millions of acres available out there.
