I remember when this show was first announced and all the trolls and haters dogged it without a chance, all because of Anderson’s casting as Louie. It was example after example of the worst kind of ignorance. I am so glad the show is as good as it is. UPDATED: The worst argument for the initial, negative responses to Louis’ race-swap was when the earlier trolls would justify their hateful comments by disguising them as a “critique”. First, how does one truly critique something one hasn’t experienced? By definition, you have to have seen or read a body of work in order to critique it. Instead, the trolls often “critiqued” Anderson’s casting (before the series even aired) by comparing it to ridiculous, make-believe, casting choices (e.g., an Asian woman cast as Blade or a 400lbs actor to play Captain America) in order to gaslight everyone into believing their hate was about something other than race. Let’s be clear, the disgusting vitriol and threats to boycott the show-potentially ending Anderson’s job-was all about skin color, which is the definition of racism and YES, being acutely aware of this is also being woke. To prove this, you do not have to make-up ridiculous castings, you simply can point to actual ones that ALL received the same type of backlash: Anna Diop/Starfire [Titans], Michael B. Jordan/Human Torch [Fantastic Four], Anandla Stenberg/Rue [Hunger Games], Moses Ingram/3rd Sister [Obi-Wan], Steve Toussaint/Corlys Vela [House of Dragons]. One can argue that each of these shows had artistic problems, but none of those problems are attributed to these specific actors and certainly not their race. So, where is the justification for the “critque”? There is a common, hate-filled denominator when Black actors race-swap a central character and to suggest otherwise is both insulting and lazy. So, If you have a history of critiquing the existence of Black people, whether in the arts or in general-you should also have a history of critiquing Black oppression! Ofcourse they made me think so much more deeply about this scene. These two are the real deal! They understand these characters and the bigger questions Anne Rice asked in her work. I love them.
I mean how is the chemistry OOZING through still in this interview? 🤤 Reid is right for setting & how it connects to todays world. Spoken like a true open minded Aquarius. Match with that Gemini energy of Anderson. I answered my own question. 😂 If I was casting just off this interview alone I see why they were chosen. Chemistry. ⚛️
@Elliot Alderson omg! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 thank you! You get it. 2 technically straight men can have a bromance it’s not anything uncommon. Hell most people are fluid nowadays it’s no big deal! But the fact that they have offscreen chemistry, just makes more of a fan of the show. That’s not common and not all actors have it genuinely. Awesome insight 👏🏾
Absolutely!!! I have the same birthdate as Jacob Anderson…. Oh my goodness I did the exact same mannerism as he did listening to Sam deeply & so richly . Knowing my fellow Gemini would so appreciate of his intelligence, insight, love for the character portrayal & original works. So beautiful the vibrancy they have separately & together.
I love this show, they picked amazing actors! I loved Louie and Lestat- the actors are amazing! the only thing I had an issue with was the violent scene between them, that’s not in the books. Lestat and Louie love each other, and that love remains throughout all the books in the series.
I don't care what the actors personal relationships are, that's their business and why they are called personal. Great show and great performances. Appreciated.
This show is what art is and what it's supposed to be. This show has changed the game; giving lesser known actors a chance, paying writers what they deserve and why the writer's strike was important, taking a chance on trying something new with old stories rather than rebooting people to death. Staying true to the vision of what film/TV can be. Easily the best show on TV IMO. They caught lightning in a bottle. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Aint it cute that they even got matching vampire fang rings (both on their right index fingers) for this promotion? I think it's for this day of interviews, them having the same outfits, so you can see the rings in that Anne Rice trivia thing they did too :) Done with Seasons 1 and 2, binge-watched both and now I can't keep still for Season 3!!!! Also, i know, i know, different productions and story and all, but I can't help but draw parallels from the beauty of this series to that of the Hannibal series (which i'm a HUGE fan of) with Mads and Hugh

Chemistry. ⚛️
Isn't he a Pisces?
@@lisbethqk8923 No they’re both air signs. Reid Aquarius ♒️ & Anderson Gemini ♊️.
@Elliot Alderson I couldn’t agree with you more. Even after wrapping they still talk almost daily. As a gay man I love to see it 😍🔥😂🤷🏽♂️
@Elliot Alderson omg!
Man I was a fan of Jacob since Game of Thrones. Both of them did a good job.
I love everything they said about their characters.
I never thought this show could get me to like Lestat. I love him now 😭
Ive seen just 2 episodes and i'm already in love of this show ❤️
I love this show, they picked amazing actors! I loved Louie and Lestat- the actors are amazing! the only thing I had an issue with was the violent scene between them, that’s not in the books. Lestat and Louie love each other, and that love remains throughout all the books in the series.
i cant wait for season 2!!!! i love this show
Their love and passion for the story is so amazing!
I forgot that he is Greyworm. Like...the accent is really mind blowing
5:00 That ending laugh is everything!
Can't get enough of this show well done
Their chemistry! Woof!
I don't care what the actors personal relationships are, that's their business and why they are called personal. Great show and great performances. Appreciated.
I hope both of these men knew how many people love them 💕💕
This show is what art is and what it's supposed to be. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
I am hooked already. I am wondering if they are going to keep up the “goodness”. So far, so good!
They are both so cute. I love this show
their understanding and commitment to the characters and storyline is so amazing , they are both doing incredible
Just started watching. Love this show. Beautiful re-imagining of the book series. Can't wait for the upcoming episode.
I was not excited about the show when they announced it, but it's amazing all the changes they made just add to the story
Dang this two.❤❤❤
The show is SO good. My goodness.
Aint it cute that they even got matching vampire fang rings (both on their right index fingers) for this promotion? I think it's for this day of interviews, them having the same outfits, so you can see the rings in that Anne Rice trivia thing they did too :)
Done with Seasons 1 and 2, binge-watched both and now I can't keep still for Season 3!!!! Also, i know, i know, different productions and story and all, but I can't help but draw parallels from the beauty of this series to that of the Hannibal series (which i'm a HUGE fan of) with Mads and Hugh
I honestly love these actors portrayal of loustat
ay los amo, son un gran team, me encantan ambos como personas y personajes, amo la serie por ellos.
i appreciate these two so much god. jacob is SO cute too BTW
I have no idea what this is but I guess I’m obsessed with it now
no but y r they so adorable
both just so great in this tv show
This is the best film adaptation of Anne Rice's IWTV and the best Louie and Lestat
my god Sam is gorgeous 😭😭
A pastor in Nigeria stated that gay sex causes earthquakes but after watching episode 5, I am convinced it's arguing gay vampires that cause earthquakes.
I just watched all of season 1 in one sitting and it was some amazing tv. I know s2 is a ways away but I’m still excited.
Their voices 😖🔥😭 so deeeeeep
I’m absolutely loving this show!!
Jacob and Sam really matched each other's freak as Loustat and that's beautiful 😍
I am obsessed with Sam Reid (Lestate)
love these actors, they make the show
In the book it was actually Louis brother that died..so they are following the book more accurately the the movie
I like this actor playing as Lestat more than Tom Cruise. He looks more like the Lestat I imagined to be ..
Amazing chemistry (:
Love the show
Could they be any fucking more adorable. I can't even
They are gorgeous just being interviewed. ❤👍
I luv this show..how the fu****k can u hate on a fiction show..they are gorgeous

I found their chemistry incredibly pleasureable 🖤
Pleasurable is about right😍
