樂遊德國花絮（科隆篇）｜The Lok Tour - Pilgrimage of Happiness in Europe（Cologne @ Germany Diary Feature 2024）

2024年再次重遊德國，全因要探訪兩位德國朋友。而再次踏足德國，第一站來到了從來沒有想過來的城市科隆，並且參觀了於科隆火車站旁邊的科隆主教座堂，教堂的宏偉外觀真的令我非常震撼，特別要送上這段片段記錄這次精彩的德國之旅！
Germany is the 13th stop of my 2024 tour. It was also my second time to visit Germany in my life. The first thing I tried again was that’s Deutsche Bahn! The worst train system in the world! Nice!
And Cologne was my first stop in my Germany tour before I met my German friends. I visited the Cologne Cathedral, everyone knows this superlative building: It is 157 m tall and the world’s third largest Gothic-style cathedral with 10,000 square meters of windows and 20,000 visitors daily.
Begun in 1248, the construction of this Gothic masterpiece took place in several stages and was not completed until 1880. Over seven centuries, successive builders were inspired by the same faith and a spirit of absolute fidelity to the original plans. Apart from its exceptional intrinsic value and the artistic masterpieces it contains, Cologne Cathedral testifies to the enduring strength of European Christianity.
