  • This is probably the fastest possible way to empty roll of toilet paper! The roll is empty in under one second and it reaches top rpm of 10.000 rpm!
    Big thanks for Gardner Denver for working with us. We did 4 short video clips for their use but the videos turned out so nice that I made youtube versions of them. Their factory is only about 2 km from us so they are really near. We have also some plans to play with much bigger air compressors so if you have ideas that need lot of pressurized air we can make with Gardner Denver. Here is link to their website where you can see the ad videos that we made for them www.compressor.fi (the link to the video is above picture of me and Anni)
    High speed clips are filmed with Chronos 1.4 high speed camera

      Connect the air supply into the bottom of a steel dustbin.
      Fill the bin with a fine powder (sawdust/icing sugar/custard powder ect)
      Place a lit flare on top of the powder.
      and then turn on the air supply.
      it'll launch the powder skywards, then explode when the power/oxygen mix is just right

      What if you put the toilet paper on "the wrong way", so that it gets wound up? Might be unspectacular, or it gets ripped apart by the air-stream and centrifugal force! Either way I figure it would become the fastest spinning toilet paper of all time.

You should get one of those huge rolls that they use in public bathrooms or one of those large wrapping paper rolls, or even some meat wrapping paper rolls and do it again. i have a idea for you to try, why not get a old junk car and put that beach ball inside it and see if you can break the car with air pressure from the beach ball expanding.

    Purchasing heavy industrial equipment locally is just as important as green grocers. If not more so. Local industry employs alot more people than local food production. Think of all the office departments behind that compressor before even mentioning its manufacture. Vs 6 - 10 people on a local co-op. idk. I think the compressor company supports more people.

    The flicker of the flourescent lights in the shop was interesting to see. I did not know that the light varied so much. I know some people are sensitive to that flicker and have to wear special glasses or they become very sick. I think the reason the Aluminum foil did not hold together well is that Aluminum when exposed to air always has a layer of Aluminum oxide on it that is very hard to break through. This is why you can't do normal soldering to Aluminum.

    • @Rameus
      @Rameus 6 лет назад +4

      Herbert Susmann I seen that to. Was it the alternating of the AC current that was captured in the lights?

    • @herbertsusmann986
      @herbertsusmann986 6 лет назад +6

      Yes, it would be the 50 Hz or maybe double that (100 Hz) because the polarity doesn't matter so you get two light cycles per one AC current cycle. The phosphor they use on the inside of the flourenscent tube has a pretty short persistence time it would seem.

    • @zh84

    Question: Did anyone else notice the lights in the shop pulsating during the slow motion? Did he capture AC current alternating?

    • @zh84
      @zh84 6 лет назад +4

      Yes. There's a lengthy discussion of this in another comment. In Finland AC is supplied at 50HZ, so the lights dim every time the current crosses zero, that is, at 100Hz.

    Regarding your extra content.
    I attempted to make billets of aluminum in the same fashion using my 20 ton press. While I was able to compress the holy living crap out of the fins from air conditioner radiators, it didn't help what I was trying to accomplish. It was my hopes that I could melt the stuff in my furnace...
    But the fins were either soo thin, that there was too much aluminum oxide, or age broke the metal down to too many impurities. Because I got a VERY small percentage of molten aluminum out of it.
    Definitely familiar with the base of the steel expanding under the pressure! 😂 And my press is nowhere near the pressure yours puts out lol
