Secondly having met Peter Tosh back in the mid sixties, I wouldn't rule out his possibility of him surviving a gunshot to the head(A few other people have survived being shot to the head).Still I wasn't there and not aware of the extent of his injury nor am I a doctor. I did however meet him several times(Half Way Tree, North Street among other places) and I always called him sir. His music lives on and my memory of him remains.
