As a song, it's as shit as they come, but the whole thing is about Daz's life, which the song is trying to present as a success despite his teenage life, but the guy was never really a success at anything, so it has a certain irony to it, and is kinda sad when you think about it like that.
Daz comes across as a decent guy, I read up on him a bit, he does a lot of good work in his community and is a respected youth football coach. He was on a hiding to nothing here. Someone should’ve sat him down and told him this was a bad idea

Like I always said to anyone who dissed it and mentioned it being seedy or creepy because of the girls, the girls are all over 18, they're professional dancers, not real school kids ages. As a fan of the song (And pretty much everything created by Ricardo Autobahn), it didn't give the best vibe though. A clearly older guy dancing with "school girls". I wish they had gone with a different look for the video and dance in general. We wouldn't have won Eurovision still (Lordi are the best winners to date for my money, and nobody had a chance of beating them), but we may have done better.
