GEAR USED - 5000 size Penn battle (40lb KastKing braid) on a 13' Sonik Dominator rod & a 9' Daiwa Emcast (40lb KastKing braid) with a 65 size Okuma Avenger.

Man I used to fish Braunig and Calaveras ... Sure do miss catching Corvinas. I have pictures of some of the corvina's I used to catch there.

@@Dunnoutdoors It would be nice if they restocked them the only place you can catch them now is in California so I hear... I used to live in San Antonio but now I live up by Waco... I do alot of fishing on lake Whitney.... Mainly stripers and white bass.... Thanks for the response!

great fishing man, always love to see people come over to the carp side and realize what amazing fish they are. I do highly recommend looking into to some proper carp care gear so you can grow those fish to giants! Even If its just a weigh sling so you can weigh them without butchering em! Keep fishing!

Man I love it so far. It’s perfect for carp fishing in my opinion. Casts really good too. Definitely would recommend one.
Where’d you get the sonic rod at and how long was the shipping?
Actually I bought it from one of my buddies who only carp fishes. It’s a 13’ and it casts really good with the right amount of weight on it, I love it.

The best spots are the 3 points on the left (1st point by the pier is my fav). And I have a video in my shorts vids on how to make the bait. 👍🏽

Late evening and night time is best. I primarily carp fish during the winter months but for the most part it’s a year around type thing, you can catch them anytime.
