Are there any dropoffs that are around 4 or 5 feet or more close to shore at this lake. I see when you walked out in the shore it was only a foot or so deep.
At Calaveras Lake there’s deep drop offs on the left side of the lake. The right side of the lake has a gradual drop off. Always be careful regardless. There’s also alligators at Calaveras Lake.
@@arielpalomares2456 the black reel is a Abu Garcia Ambassaduer Pro Rocket Black Edition 6500. The red reel is a Akios 656 CT. I’m using 30 lb braid in all my reels.
Neither is a hook. Stretchy thread has been used for years in fishing worldwide. I use an egg loop knot, and stretchy thread, there in the summertime to keep shrimp on when the water gets hot. Fish on sir!
Cool fishing with mom! I love it
Got to value the little things most. Thanks.
You have really good content. You’re going to blow up someday, watch. 🤞🏽

Mijo your breaking my heart. All this fish throwing back in.
People tell me that all the time, but I fish for sport only. I’ll keep one soon. Thanks for the support Patty.
🔥
Thanks friend.
Are the fish from here safe to eat? I have heard they’re not because of the power plant but I don’t see any advisory on TPWD. I wanna eat those reds 😂
For decades people have been eating the fish from here. I personally haven’t.
Nice!! Around what time was this at?
Fished from 7 am-noonish.
What’s the reel you using?
Shimano Spheros SW 6000, smooth as butter. Using 30 # braid.

@@BrawnyCal thanks!
Where’s that at? I go fishing all day and barely catch anything.
Calaveras Lake Park. This spot is to the right from the entrance near the second boat ramp.
@@BrawnyCal alright, thanks, I’ll try it out next time I go up there.
What table are you at 👀😂👀
By 2nd boat ramp.
Elastic is not good for the fish if they swallow it
Thank you. Noted.
I’m pretty sure soft plastic is not good either
@@MrDoItAll956 as in soft plastics like a fluke or senko type of worm?
