Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, Boxing, and Muai Thai are all both sports and arts. Thousands of people also do mma for little return. MMA at the highest level is also a serious business, a sport, and it is not just entertainment. There are "Gods" in mma as well. This is a video of Fedor, which is a prime example. Why are you spending your time commenting on this video if you think mma is some sort of circus?
I know very little about takedowns... can someone please explain the principle behind the technique at 2:05 ? I'm kind of curious how it works as well as it does. Is the main action lifting the opponent, tripping the opponent over the leg you stepped forward with, or rotating the opponent ? Does this technique have a name in Judo, Wrestling etc ? I want to research it and learn more about it ?
Psychology*, and I don't agree that boxers in particular are more refined in their technique than other sports. Look at George St Pierre for example. You don't get a more refined mma game than that.
you can't just say fact after everything you say in order to make it an actual fact Look up Royce Gracie vs Art Jimmerson. That's a pure boxer vs pure jiu jitsu
And the point you are making if there is any, is completely unfounded. There is little if any difference in terms of competitiveness and refinement between the sports of Boxing and MMA. In Boxing you will find the highest caliber of boxing technique. However, in MMA you will find the highest level of Judo, Wrestling, Kickboxing etc. That is exemplified by several Olympians competing in the sport (Rousey, Henderson, Cormier, and the list goes on).
Kenny Florian was never a champion, of course you have been scientifically studying boxing for decades, and you have no counter to the point that there are several Olympians in the sport using disciplines that have been prominent for thousands of years (ex. Wrestling). MMA is a very technical sport. Im not responding to any more of your comments. You must also be a NASCAR fan because you are going in circles indefinitely.
Fedor is a good teacher. Easily understood by his actions.

@johnosandra You're just upset that MMA is more effective in a real life situation.
