Thanks for the detailed research of drake. One question tho, I noticed on another video that you commented on that drake was in fact not a pirate, where as here you’ve said he’s a privateer. What is the difference and what did he do particularly to make him different from a pirate?
Once a pirate always a pirate 🏴☠️ whether the crown hires you or whether you do it for your country interests if you loot stole or pillage foreign colonies or somebody’s possessions, thou my friend are a thief whether a document makes it legal once a pirate always a pirate 🏴☠️!

Privateers were supported by the government: tacitly at least.
