The last few levels are really tricky and easy to die on. Even worse is the bonus stage where you have to do everything flawlessly to get 100% in time. The final boss isn't that bad because each of your 6 friends will replenish your health when it gets low.
Note: it says 90% complete because I didn't do the mazes. There's also a magic key you get when you hit one million points. It unlocks any fruit door you want.
Ahh... Another part of my childhood. I forgot how good this game is :)
Ha! The ghost starts sobbing, so Pac Man just _eats_ him? That's kind of hilarious.
For the people who 's playing this game: to get a hundred percent on the ending, you have to make sure all of the fruits (most likely pacdots) are collected, all fruit doors are opened, treasure chests are unlocked, and finish all 36 mazes by enetring in the maze marathon. then, battle tocman and after you defeat him, 100% should appear on the screen. :)

I had it for the PSX and I still have the GBA version. I have to say that the GBA version was a pretty faithful port of the console game. The only real difference is that the GBA used sprites and not 3d models. Either version of the game you won't go wrong. I wish they would redo this and Ms Pac Man Maze Madness for either the PSP or the DS.

I actually heard a story on the history of Orson... Apparently, he and Pacman were best friends, then Orson realised that Pacman was more popular and grew jealous.

@rosiejac I believe so. I've collect the letters P-A-C-M-A-N is every level and completed Marathon yet I only have 93%. I've unlocked the outtakes as well. So yes, I think the Bonus Stages do count towards the 100%. After I beat Toc-Man, the game says 95% but it goes back to 93% without saving... Odd...
The only level i reeach was the second from where i had to kill the mummy -_- now i see it was so good this game

I don't know regarding Clyde... I mean, the fight was awesomer, too, and the music ROCKED, and it gave you some lives, so... I still think Clyde in the Caldera is better.
@TheAc1100 Actually, they BECAME friends. The third game of the series (Pac Man World 3 for ps2) its history says that Pac-Man helps Orson and the other ghosts (he becomes friend of the ghosts) to save their dimension from a crazy sçientist XD

Well, Orson comes out of TocMan in PacMan World 1, and in PacMan World 3 he comes back, and is at PacMan's disposal to save Pac-Land.
ya it has btr power-ups and more diff enemies btr graphix and u can be 2 of the first 4 ghosts pinky and clyde my fave power-up is the super ribbon

Okay, this has been driving me crazy. Does the BGM in the second level remind anyone of the intro to "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" by Pink Floyd? I could swear they sound similar.
this is a nice game, for ps1 i mean, and the grafics are good to if you look at other games for the ps1 and even some for the ps2.

@betterthenwalking1 no this game was only made for the playstation 1 but they made it for the GBA and you can also play it on playstation 2
what im wondering is that when he ate the power pellet how come the other ghosts didn't turn blue?
aww the poor ghost, when pac man took out his hand i thought he was gonna shake

this game was one of the best on the PSX. it sucks getting 100% on every level though,
the super ribbon is like that tron game-type thing were a line folos u around and if u make a circle with the line, it collapses and explodes killing everyting inside the circle
u get combos too punch combo, bounce combo, and ..well if u want more info ill mail u
The last boss stage looked too much like Super Mario 64's Final Boss,Bowser!!!

@gamegod9000 Ahyes, in Pacman world 3 (which was my least favourite) Pac and Orson have to team up because of a bigger threat.
The temple boss did it for me. I beat the galaxian boss once before. Sure it took me a couple of tries, but I've done it. You played PacMan World 3? I never played that.
Orson and Pacman were once best of friends. If ONLY there wasn't that whole jealousy thing going on...

I don't remember where, but I heard that afterwards (by quite a while, but still) Pac-Man and Orson had some kind of a friendly relationship. A small one, kind of a rivalry, but isn't that what Pac has with the other ghosts?
I agreed XD. It would be great if all video games had certain bosses one each that are harder than final bosses ^^.

but Orson totally deserves it. I mean, he kidnapped Pac-Man's entire family and tried to kill pac-man. And besides, it's not like he killed Orson since the ghosts keep on returning after being eaten

@absol259cb In PacMan World 1, pacman and orson were enemies, in pacman world 3 they became friends in pacman world 2 when pacman was against spooky to get the golden fruit back if orson were there do you think he would be trying to help pacman in getting the golden fruit or would he take spooky and the ghosts's side which were trying to hide the golden fruit from pacland? Whose side would orson have been on in pacman world 2?

I'm very missing this game, My first time to beat the game I got 85%, them I try to got 100% without cheating.
I return to replay and beat again in ePSXe, because I'm very misssing this game.
Also I contiune to play Ms.Pacman Maze Madness after beat this game.
Heh and I thought Pac Man was going to be merciful to Toc Man when I first played this game.

With Pac-Man World 2, it was sometimes hard considering messing up like say the boss of Ice Mountain or the Volcano levels.

Yeah, the ending wasn't very nice. When PacMan destroyed TocMan, the ghost that rose out of TocMan got real sad and upset, he was in tears his name is Orson, I believe. If I were PacMan I would just tell Orson that I was sorry that I destroyed your robot. I mean, TocMan wasn't THAT evil. I think Orson just got jealous so he created TocMan. But PacMan could have been nice to Orson and they would have became friends.
