In 1960 there were only 179,323,175 people. Today there are 330 million people. In 1960 there were 15.87 million people in California. Today there are nearly 40 million people in California. In 1960 there were more men than women in America and in California...today there are 8 million more women than men in America, and nearly 1 million more women than men in Californa. It is a very large state and various parts of California are like having all 50 states rolled up into one state just by going into different towns/cities.
