I was born in Forrest City, Arkansas. I remember wrestling at the Civic Center. Dick Williams used to have a Christmas magic show there. We used to go as kids. People from Memphis know...
I remember this from the early 80's as a kid; I mean not watching it live or anything, but people talking about it because wrestling was a big deal in the South. It is a shoot, folks, and is as real as anything that "The King" is able to not lie about having happened. Thank you so much for this nugget of history. I appreciate it. #LordLindsey12
@@timfox5337 Then as now, his promo game could have used work, but for al the imperfections, Bill Dundee is a legend that never got his due on a major stage. Bill is awesome 😎
Two of the three guys involved in this are now in The WWE Hall Of Fame. Lance Russell needs to be.B.W.
Memphis wrestling was the greatest
Loved going to the Nashville fairgrounds with my family and watching all the greats when I was a kid
When they were kids and 'pops' was younger. RIP pops.
Bill Dundee has a crazy Scottish/Aussie accent- usually kids that leave Scotland so young lose it entirely.
It happens I'm 40 raised in London by Scottish parents I still occasionally slip out with a cannae or gonnae
Bill Dundee looks like he's trying to be in The Beatles
Man this takes me back. I saw these on replay when I was like 5 years old
Lawyer and Bill possible M Memphis greatest wrestlers of all times.
Who remembers tojo and gypsy joe

"Let me tell you something Wayne "Punk" Farris. We'll just leave off the "Rock", you're just nothing but a Punk." at 2:05
The most badass wrestling I seen in Louisville Gardens Bill Dundee and Jerry Lawler I wouldn't have traded it for nothing else
Get well soon Superstar and king
what a gem
Wayne and King really are cousins so I would think that part of that was a shoot but just enough to make it good
BigMike7302 and they really don't like each other!!
I love Lawler but Mr. Ferris is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Jerry seems to be a bit wild for my tastes but Wayne is very down to earth.

Not a shoot at all in the slightest but a good promo nevertheless
Jerry lawler was a mean sob cause he like fighting and was good at it long live jerry lawler
I love you Becky
So This Is Bill Dundee Eh OK Is He Alex Riley Grandpa
Lance never liked anyone to come anywhere near using profanity.
It’s Scottish Poncherello! ☻
Even though this wrestling is PG I'd much rather watch this PG than the PG now the PG back then was far superior to the pg now
He ain't joking
Bill Dundee: Bobby Sherman lookalike.
Jerry lawler was the mother fucking man a true badass
He'd fight a chainsaw
Wayne ferris aka honky tonk man cousin of Jerry the king Lawler
Bill you have spent too much time in America mate.
lawer got grandpas clothes on now wears affliction.
read somewhere wayne & jerry have never liked each other
The interviews that i have heard. Both deny disliking the other. But they both seem to think the other has hard feelings . But neither knows why?
Dundee was terrible.
His promos could've used more work. :)
@@TehJew22 his promos were incredible. He was so believable and was never at a loss for words

@@TehJew22 We can agree to disagree. His promos are better than anything seen today.
