I followed this guide and got my Nextcloud hub 8 up and running on my local server :) I had the bad gateway 502 issue at first. To resolve it, I went into the docker tab in Unraid and restarted both MariaDB and Nextcloud. Thank you so much for the tutorial and I like the music!

appreciate the video, i am getting an error when installing the linuxserver version of nextcloud that reads: Can't start Nextcloud because the version of the data (28.0.1.1) is more than one major version behind the docker image version (30.0.0.14) and upgrading more than one major version is not supported. Please run an image tagged for the major version 29 first.
mine takes forever to load. is there a setting i need to change? ive got solid hardware but it takes minutes just to load the dashboard. i havent even added any files yet

How can I do to move the database to cache? Should be mnt/cache/appdata/config instead mnt/user/appdata/config but gives me a server error. Should I do a move after change it?

I get the following error in the NextCloud Log

When trying to install Nextcloud docker, the logs say "Exception: Not installed in /config/www/nextcloud/lib/base.php:281" on repeat. And I get an internal server error when trying to access Nextcloud WebUI. Any ideas?

how do you get the video previews to show up? Photos show previews just fine but not videos
Hello Ricky. Thanks for the comment/question. I actually did some searching myself since I too did not have video previews. I actually got it to work.
You will want to add this to your config.php file at the end of the array (If you installed Nextcloud in your UnRaid server, it's at /mnt/user/appdata/nextcloud/www/nextcloud/config) above the last 2 lines. Make sure you create a backup of your config.php file before making any changes.

what plugin do you use for the docker screen
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. The plugin I use is Docker Folders. Pretty cool plugin. However, it look like it's been abandoned per the Info in Community Applications.

how does the mariadb would with nextcloud here? I don't see how the contains can talk to each other
sorry, I couldn't get that far! if you run into installation issues, delete the dockers and the data from appdata, also from the nextcloud share and re-install! I finally got it going. It is...uh. still a bit slow so needs some tweaking!
Unable to watch and listen. The background music is actually the foreground music and very hard to hear you talk. Not sure why content creators put background music in an instructional video.
After watching the video again, I see what you mean. I'll have to keep that in mind for the next time. It may be time to create update videos though, yeah? haha. Thanks for the comment and bringing this up.
hello there! love the video everything was working jsut fine till when adding the data base wwhile creating a new admin user for next cloud i get this message "Error
Cannot create or write into the data directory /www/html/data" iv done jsut about everything i know how to do im new at this all too anyone here can help me id be very appreciative

Nice vid. I tried this with a cloudflare tunnel. All my other Dockers work with my tunnel but I get a 400 error when using next cloud with the tunnel set to https and a 502 when using it with http.
Has anyone ran into this issue and have a solution?
Have you added your domain name to the "trusted_domains" array in the config.php file?
Also, in Cloudflare Tunnels, try this. Towards the bottom of the Public Hostname Page for your subdomain, click on "Additional Application Settings". Then click on TLS to expand it, and then enable "No TLS Verify".

OK, so I'm having a bitch of a time getting this to work. Followed the install, got to the part where I setup the MariaDB in the admin creation for NextCloud and I can't get the two to jive with eachother. I have tried changing all passwords to only have letters and numbers, remade both containers from scratch, used the uraid server IP:port and even the bridge IP:port and nothing works, I keep getting an issue saying access denied for my TESTUSER (which is the name I gave the sql user in Maria)
Any ideas? I tried to get in via adminer to check permissions per something I found online but I can't get in via root or TESTUSER
Any ideas? Trying to get this proof of concept working before I build out a new system next month, want to use this test run to help decide what I need hardware wise
EDIT: Only thing I haven't tried is updating Unraid itself, I'm on 6.9.2 and since I'm out of the country I can't update it until I get back home incase something goes wrong. My other dockers are working fine though so I am not convinced it's an unraid version issue
So I took a leap and updated Unraid while out of country... and by god that resolved the issue once I remade the containers. No clue why, maybe something is older in docker
Yeah I've experienced that as well. I'm slowly learning why choosing the "latest" tag for docker containers might be bad. When you're updating the containers, there's a chance that one or more dependencies may mess up your container. I've gotta start declaring the latest current version instead of using the "latest" tags. I'm glad you got it to work though.
If I go to my MariaDB log, I get a constant scroll of these few lines in the log, repeating endlessly.
