Higher Education department facing student funding issues among many

There have been mixed reactions to the GNU cabinet and its composition.
One of the moves that President Cyril Ramaphosa made was to separate Science, Innovation, and Technology from Higher Education and Training.
For years now, the Department of Higher Education has been marred by scandals ranging from corruption, mismanagement at certain institutions, to safety of students on campus, and of course NSFAS.

I wish this educational financial support can be paid directly to colleges or universities other than given directly to students. Saying this because some of this money are misused in drugs and alcohols. Means that the body might be helping but on the other hand destroying people s lives

And can they also look into students performance. Some chop and change just to stay in the system. And why must they stay in residence when they can live with their parents. Its making it difficult for those who are serious about their studies. They are just like the government on wasteful expenditure 😂😂😂 nsfas must be audited. ONLY the most NEED Y must qualify
