    I could put a months worth of groceries or plenty of luggage in that space. Plus 2 sets of golf clubs. If your needing to hall your reclining chair in a car, get a pick-up. I think the Venza looks classy, instead of a box on wheels.
    I also really like the turn signals in the bumper down low, where they belong. I'm so annoyed by vehicles these days with their bright led signals at eye level flashing in my eyes waiting at a stop light, in a turn lane, especially at night or inclimate weather.

    Glad to hear that Toyota is addressing the interior color palette…or lack thereof. I looked at the new Prius with “gray” interior…it was basically totally black, except for the headliner & seat covering.🙄

    They haven’t sold many because you can’t get them . There only produced in Japan . I had 3 dealers last year that told me flatly they couldn’t get any . One dealer called me 2 months later and said he could snag one and I bought it . Great car.

      @@aa19nnThe Venza (Harrier, not the older American build Venza) is more of a premium built quality car than the RAV4 (the material are hard plastic) and it rides a lot smoother than the RAV4. I drove both 2022 Venza XLE vs 2020 RAV4 Limited. The Venza wins on comfort for long road trips.

      @dogie8c 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@aa19nn Unfortunately that’s true on the higher trim (XLE & Limited) and the lack of room on the cargo area (it’s not that bad but it’s something to consider.) while the base model (LE as well the earlier Venza XLE 2021-2022 non-JBL equipped)has the physical knobs and buttons. Although the seats are not as comfortable as the XLE and the Limited. I wish Toyota would offer softer fabric seats on the base model cars. I highly recommend that you test out the seats. I personally like the XLE Softex seats; they’re super soft. I wish they have that material for the RAV4 as well.

    I snagged a limited edition in the first year of reintroduction 2021. I love it! Only issue I had was the power lift gates strut ended up going bad. One side of the liftgate was squeaking badly when closing because both sides werent closing at the same pace. They ended up replacing one side and then the other and finally everything is running smooth.

    One Venza problem still not addressed is the mysterious lack of tie-down loops in the trunk. These are standard on almost every car nowadays, but not the Venza. A minor but irritating issue in a vehicle that has outstanding build quality, refinement and fuel efficiency.

My only concern is that Toyota can't even keep up with the Prime Rav4 orders and is months, if not years behind. How will the Venza manage these supply issues?

    A few problems with this video.
    1/ The mpg mentioned in Japan (in fact, in a lot of countries) is higher than those announced by EPA is due to the fact these mpg numbers from EPA are measured in US gallon. Outside US, they use Imperial gallon. 2 different thing. Can just compare these mpg from different countries at face value.
    2/ Other than getting up to speed when merging into highway, do people driving hybrid or plug-on hybrid really care about speed? If you have time think about this, let me tell you the answer. It's a no.

      @@PS-js9ohphev seems to make a lot of sense right now. Can charge with slow charger 🔌 overnight at home to take care of the first 35 miles or so which is enough for many people, then fill up for longer trips as long as we still have gas stations. The extra weight for 35 miles is not so massive like ev’s and can make batteries for 10 or more phev’s with that amount. Would love to see more of them.

    Good review for exterior and powertrain however, absolute shit review for interior criticisms:
    No wireless CarPlay, and No place to store your iPhone no MagSafe charger.
    Crappy Apple CarPlay features compared to other brands. Which doesn’t even display charging status. Coupled with a horrible touchscreen, control logic compared to BMWs iDrive which is generations, older, and still superior.
    Creases on the curved front console where stuff gets stuck like Dust and crumbs and pocket change. No storage and difficult to see usb ports. And what’s with the location of theengine start button? As if there’s not enough things, obscuring your access to your ports and phone.
    I will score points for well-designed heating of the triangular front side glass… And improvements in material quality in the interior, including the seats.
    They should start including the front and rearview usb camera cams recording but it’s a nice option to have in the 2022.
