Hi Sean 👋 this video brought amazing memories of the open log fire that burned in the waiting room many years ago and was especially welcome on a cold and snowy winter night. It was very busy here when hoards of tourists would arrive from Sydney and join buses for a day trip to Jenolan Caves. I remember an Italian family with four children who boarded the train at Central thinking that they were on the train to Melbourne because with their poor English, the only word they recognised was Victoria. They were very confused and upset, and the wonderful station staff put them on the next train back to Central and also booked them onto the Melbourne daylight express for the following morning.

Thanks John! Glad you liked the vid and brought back some memories from the past and the Italian family you encountered.
It’s ironic Mt Victoria isn’t in Victoria, but good on the station staff for directing them to where they wanted to go at the time. I could imagine they still appreciate that to this day :)
