MrCantstandliberals to bad it's far from it. America is CHALKED FULL OF PLACES WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY BETTER THEN THIS. Even though this is beautiful its 1/10 of what America is hiding in it's back country.
Like others, I've hiked Table Rock many times. As a young man if me or any of my friends were suffering from emotional turmoil in our lives (girlfriend problems etc.) we'd go hike it and all would be good again. Upon seeing this video all I can say is "AMAZING" What great views of that vertical north side that we'd always walk down to the left of the summit to view. Can't beat these drone views though. I hope this video is playing continuously at the Table Rock visitor center. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Table Rock is definitely one of the best hikes/views in the area. Looking forward to getting out there again now that our brief flirtation with winter is over. We've recently put together a shorter cut that integrates a few different shots of the north side that you might be interested in. ruclips.net/video/71Cj1z-xETc/видео.html
Agreed. Not far away at all. I was recently editing a panoramic photo of downtown Greenville SC, and you can actually see Table Rock on the horizon from the city on a clear day. Definitely worth making the trip out!
+Kyle Merckle Thanks! Definitely lots of fun places to fly in the area. Looking forward to getting out that way again soon as the leaves begin to change.
Awesome video. As others state, it's quite an amazing hike. I would rank it as one of the top hikes in the Southeast and for me personally ranks as one of the best hikes I have done. I have hiked in Colorada, Utah, Arizona, and the Cascades and this still ranks up there.
vista7 Thanks! I agree about Table Rock. The views from the top can be amazing, and the trail up has plenty of interesting spots to take in along the way.
Love your video! I have hiked this mountain over 100 times and I never get tired of it. The base of the north face (which is higher than the south side) is an awesome sight to see up close. In your video you can see a small pond that is made from runoff from the top of the mountain. Of course this is watershed property and strictly off limits! I would like to see you guys try to get some footage of windy falls on the horsepasture river. This can be a very dangerous place - I almost fell to my death there. Keep up the good work.
+James R Davis I've noticed the small pond several times while flying in the area. I'd hoped to get a closer look at it during our last day there, but high winds made flying that low and close to the cliff face a bit too risky. I wasn't aware of Windy Falls. Looked up some information on it. Definitely sounds like a tough/dangerous hike. It would be interesting to attempt a fly by to get some good shots of the falls since apparently none of the trails offer a good vantage for photographers. I've hiked to Rainbow Falls, but flying there would almost require a waterproof drone as the mists saturate the area. Lots of impressive scenery around there, that would be a good choice for a revisit.
+James R Davis James, I'd love to pick your brain about Table Rock. I've done some exploring in the watershed and wanted to travel to the base of the north side of Table Rock. I'm curious, what is the easiest (most clandestine) route to get to the north side?
Would be really cool to see it flying along the predatory birds that always seem to be flying around up there. Don't know if they'd like being followed though.
Any predator birds mess with your drone while you're flying in the mountains? Just curious. This is great footage! Table Rock is SC's finest for nearby residents looking to get out and hike.
It's a long shot but here it goes, I am nominated to make a book trailer in Holland and it's about the civil war in America could I manage my hands on some of your great images ? i'll give you full credits + a link to your youtube channel, If possible and you would be my hero then please lets make contact via Facebook or Email? Love the shots that you make of this nature ! Reminds me about the story in the book.
Amazing video! You should share it on www.dronetheworld.com, our new site for global drone footage. You are invited to be one of the first on our fast growing site. You´ll love it.
Nothing like that annoying drone sound to ruin a nice hike or beautiful overlook. Thankfully they are illegal to fly in most places. Stunning footage though, but its going to be a hard pass from me.
I'm sorry that you feel that way. If 20 minutes of a drone flying--much of which you are very unlikely to hear once it has reached its operating distance--ruins your hike or view for the day then that is a very unfortunate plight to suffer from. Personally, seeing footage like this from other flights is well worth the relatively minor annoyance of hearing a bit of buzzing on take off and landing. I enjoying hiking and nature, but also appreciate technology and the advances that allow us to get perspectives on well known areas that we would be unlikely to ever see otherwise.
This video is worth more than a million words!
im going to say this looks like one of the most beautiful spots in America

I am ashamed to admit that I often forget those mountains are in the upstate. Beautiful!
