Take a look at Cullera about half an hour to the south of Valencia City. Huge wide beaches, excellent old town, great property prices and direct connections by road and rail into Valencia. It's a lovely drive down to Cullra through the rice fields and fishing villages to the south of Valencia and well worth it when you get there.
